Tried this on windows sandbox and all it says is "Search for app in the store? You need to install an app for this task. Would you like to search for one in the store?" except when I press yes it doesn't open because there's no microsoft store

Try going into the app properties and click "Unblock" and click apply. After that, click the "Ok" button, and try running the virus.
