Sorry for the lower volume. Again the Google Pixel 8 Pro isn't being cooperative with a new microphone. I'm working in a solution to the issue but for now this is what I've got to work with. Sorry for the frustrations. Thanks for watching.

Sounds good to me! Yeah had to raise volume knob a bit more than others but it sounds better than most in my opinion.

For what is worth to anyone, when I paired my T2s with the Hip Dac + bass boost it was a match made in heaven. That combo had the perfect amount of warmth and punch for the T2s. I imagine it would be a great pairing with the newer version as well.

Are they worth buying in 2024 ? Tuning wise they are similar to 20-35$ iems like chu, cadenza right.. please reply

Yes, the og T2 has held up well over the years. If you want a little more bass the T2 mkii is also a solid option.

Love my T2's so I'll stay with them. Isn't about time that Tin Hifi try something new that won't have us questioning why they're soooooo many with a similar name but different numbers? Good review, Dave.

Hi Dave. Another great review. I purchased the original Tin T2 on the strength of your review of it. In all honesty in my opinion I think this IEM is an absolute gem. Ive auditioned others, and even purchased the Moondrop Kato thinking it would be better. But have still kept on coming back to the Tin T2 as it just sounds so great compared to anything else, and considering the price. I have since sold the Moondrop, and purchased a second pair of Tin T2s just in case they get discontinued. One thing I have tried which I would like your thoughts about is the Bass modification. Sealing the vents on the nozzle with blu tac, which In my opinion boosts the bass and makes the sound more immersive. Sounds even better now to me. Thanks again. Mel Reese

New mic sounds good but a touch low volume output compared to previous. We both have Google Pixel 8 Pro and the USB is problematic with dongle DAC/amp. I wonder if it is an issue with your USB mic volume.

Volume seems fine on my devices but I did have to raise the levels a little more than normal. Thanks for the feedback. The Pixel Pro has been awful experience with the USB connections. Seems to be underpowered somehow.

I think a lot of chi-fi releases lately have been using the same driver, tuned slightly differently in each product, and sold at varying prices. Or this tuning is some kind of a trend. Which is why on an overall perspective they seem to have these exact same characteristics.

Great review as always. I have the original and love it. I just have a problem with the connectors staying connected to the IEMs. Trying to decide whether to replace with original or go with the new version. Ahhh, decisions decisions.

Same price range I can't think of anything that is as neutral and natural.

Dude i have a question: what happens when you have headphones with a impedance higher than the than impedance given by the DAC? I have a 7hz 71 Dac and the Tin HIFI T2 DLC IEM and i see the have the same impedance

Mismatched impedance can effect the response and alter the sound reproduction. Not enough tends to muddy the bass, lessen dynamics, hinder treble extension and detail retrieval and resolution. Too much can over accentuate the mids and treble causing a product to sound thin, bright and hot. There are a lot of variables that go into powering a headphone or IEM properly.

@@TheHonestAudiophile so,my next question is: do you think I can some issues with this combo I have previously mentioned? Both equipments have the same impedance,but the impedance of the headphones is 32ohms +-15

@@TheHonestAudiophile I am novice in this field. My first headphones were the Salnotes Zeros but I didn't buy a DAC,so I was unable to get the highest quality using Deezer or Apple music,so now I am waiting for my 7hz 71 DAC and my Tin HIFI T2 DLC to come to my country Nicaragua. Thank you sir.

This was discussed many times on the channel and in the comments of numerous videos. I use my cellphone as my camera and a USB microphone. Issues with my Google Pixel 8 Pro being compatible with my USB microphones. I have since upgraded to the Samsung S24 Ultra and the issue has been resolved.
