I’m not interested in convincing anyone that this song is “artistic” because it’s not nor does it have to be. The main point of my previous comment is simply that you can’t assume Tinashe isn’t being authentic just because she’s making a song that contains content you don’t like

@@andralunar authenticity can mean different things for people who care enough to try and stretch the actual definition of the word. Authenticity is authenticity, period and another person can’t give an opinion about someone else being true to themselves when they don’t even personally know said person. You clearly don’t follow her much because her catalog includes projects both before and after her time at a major labor and she’s got other variations of Nasty, so to speak, in her history (as recently as 333 and Songs For You). Good thing you ended your comment with your preference cuz that’s all it is but she doesn’t owe it to anyone to make a certain kind of music
