Knowing that Tinder is a company that wants a steady stream of users (meaning that not everybody who use it can be effectively matched because that would lead to less users), and has some weird algorithm patterns, this ad feels very dystopic that it's the app that amplifies materialism/"judging-the-book-by-its-cover" frames of thinking that keep the company loyal users, almost like having a toxic relationship with cigarettes.
