Beautifully played. This is originally an OBOE concerto, written by Marcello. Sounds great on piccolo, but don't play it for your jury, as most trumpet professors want to hear TRUMPET music. Years back, as a student, I learned that the hard way.

I've never seen a four valve trumpet before this, but after reading through some of the comments - SHAZAM!!! - I found my answer. Thank you, resident experts, as I now know what a piccolo trumpet is and what the fourth valve does.

Heh. For practicing reasons I wanted to listen to this in half the tempo but clicked on the option that makes it twice as fast. An... interesting experience.
