This might be late right now but I am having a period of thought of my past and having worked on the depot for 28 years I have found this video awe inspiring and saddening at the same time but thanks for putting it right here. My memories have come flooding back. Great. Phil Hodgkiss

Oh my God, this is the most haunting footage I've ever seen. I used to work out of the control tower doing Signalling maintenance from Treeton Junction to Shepcote Lane and beyond betweeen 1982 and 1986. My dad was a driver based at Tinsley for many, many years. The footage of the main offices, decrepid was a heart jerker as that's where I used to collect my wages each week. Thanks for the footage, brought back lots of memories. Chris, alias mutt40106.

I used to mess about in them signal towers when they were demolishing it all. I still walk up and down it now ,I walked it yesterday reliving my youth. Good childhood memories from here ❤️❤️❤️

The fate that befell Tinsley Traction Maintenance Depot was nothing short of a scandal. It is a testament to the present society and the direction of this country as to what replaced it. Interesting video but very sad what it portrayed, Tinsley went the same way as my old depot, Wath, they were the days!

My Grandad was a driver at Wath, many moons ago. You are spot on about Tinsley closing being a scandal! A total disgrace. I just wished I’d taken more notice of things and more photos while I worked there.

I remember the 2p bus ride! One day, after visiting the depot me and my friends, all about 17 y/o went into the 3 Mags for a beer and we were not welcome! Almost beaten up by some local new romantics on the way back to Sheffield! Oh happy memories, we also went to the open day in (I think) June 1980.

I remember one of the last open days at Tinsley in 1992 sad to see it all just rubble, mind you my two local rail depots have suffered the same fate, Swindon works & Westbury!!! Good times.

I was at that open day too. I was almost hit on the head by a wagon as they did a re-railing demonstration! No Health & safety back then!

Fantastic work, excellent footage and put together so well with the good times then the rundown to the site as it's gradually erased. The music was very fitting too, really liked the first piece as it seemed to remind me of "Threads" for some reason. Luckily I still have 3 depots nearby but all are shadows of their former selves and not worth a visit any more :(

I just have to give you top marks for that, You certainly created the right atmosphere to compliment your video shots. Such a crying shame though to see the the final results of what was once a very busy place.... Sometimes in life don't you just hate progress? Excellent video. 5*
