I think you could use Alba lock with our controller. Alba locks have the ability to keep the door open. Please find out.

@@mohitgupta1283 Thanks for the idea! One doubt: If the the door is closed but not locked, will the Tinxy controller/ app not be fooled into showing that the door is locked due to a signal from the sensor? (ie does it get a separate signal from the lock about the lock/ unlock status?)

Hi Pradeep, 1) Yes you can use the lock without the keys. Keys are suggested for possible scenarios like No power at home. someone left their phone inside the home. If the internet is not there. It answers the first two questions 3) Yes it can be opened with the remotes.

Yes it will , but you never have to worry about battery again + it's a lot heavier , safer and cheaper than bluetooth battery locks. A tradeoff you have to make

Thanks, do you have any wireless model? There are plenty of battery operated Bluetooth models out there in market but the problem with them is that they are not suitable for Indian environment as the keypad for number lock are prone to physical damage by outsiders. I like this concept of a lock looking like an ordinary lock from outside but actually it is remote controlled. Would like to see a model with similar external features, i.e. no fancy look outside but wireless at the same time - And possibly deadbolt - Which can be battery operated Bluetooth controlled by a wireless gateway.
