Literal Easter egg - I did see during the wedding a Krupa placed a white and green egg on the gift table during the movie.

its a hella good movie with simple story enough to enjoy. Critics just comparing those marvels superheroes movies/hollywood franchise stereotypes that tbh is stale in past 5 years and idk wtf happens but higher ups seems hating on animations nowadays. If the yoshi island sequels made and proven success again, it will lead to other nintendo franchise to be have movie like metroid, legend of zelda, luigi mansion, super mario kart, kirby, etc. and finally lead to super smash bros. This is what i hoped anyway, again its the hollywood the major problems/hurdles that they recently tries so hard to appeal people that not like watching movie theatre/hates everything they tried to appeal.

My prediction for SMB Movie Part 2: King Boo is becoming far too powerful with Bowser in the Mushroom Kingdom’s jail/cage. Mario, Luigi, Peach, DK, Yoshi, and Toad try to stop King Boo but are unsuccessful . They let Bowser out because they need his help, and they all team up to take down Boo. At the climax of the film, Boo has the good guys nearly defeated, and suddenly a bunch of Lumas drop from the sky and surround King Boo and his Boo minions. Rosalina then floats down and produces a power star which the good guys touch to become invincible. They easily defeat the Boos, and everyone lives happily ever after. Credits roll…fade in to mushroom kingdom and see two figures on the horizon, backlit by the setting sun. One is short and fat, the other tall and skinny. Fade out to the sound of Waluigi’s iconic laugh…SMB Movie Part 3 confirmed.

After I watched the movie I thought by myself: "Where's Walluigi, Wario and Yoshi?" I feel like this movie is not really a Super Mario Movie, but a regular Illumination movie "filmed" in the mushroom kingdom with Mario and Luigi as actors, without the feel of the Mario universe.
