When we visited Victoria, we did almost everything to do on the Saanich peninsula. I love flowers and their beauty.. so BUTCHART GARDENS is absolutely amazing. Admission to the grounds is only $3.5o CDN

Been there, done that, loved it! The first time we went to Victoria, my parents lived in Sequim, WA and drove us over to Port Angeles where we walked on the ferry. We had no hotel reservations, but it was March, so we weren't too worried about finding some place to sleep. We had to walk up a few blocks from the Empress Hotel and found an inexpensive, but clean & comfortable hotel, then spent our money doing things around the area. We went to the museum and they told us we could come back the next day and get in free, so instead, we walked around Craigdarroch Castle which we both really enjoyed. The museum was great the next day, too! Well worth the time. I love marinas and LOVE fishing boats and any old boat I can find, so loved seeing those in this video, plus all the float homes!

There is one home on Fisheran's Wharf that is set up as a bed & breakfast that you can stay in. Its gorgeos. Ive never stayed as i live only a couple blocks away, but have seen the inside. If you get a chance go to bulk barn. Winco in the US is one of the only stores that I've seen that has anything even similar, but on a MUCH smaller scale.

Go whale watching!!! Its a good time of year. Amazing beautiful creatures come nice and close to show off. Butchart gardens are a absolute must see as well. A photographers dream 💕

So glad your enjoying Canada. I'm in Manitoba . Lots to explore here. Year round . We have a huge winter festival in February when its minus 40. And so many other cool places go expore

The view from your hotel room is incredible what a find, well done. I watched a programme about the building of one of those dock houses and when it was finished they had to float it all the way from the builders to the dock and then secure it. Amazing that you are there looking at them xx

Victoria is beautiful. My daughter was stationed at the Navy Base nearby. Visited a few times. The whale watching is a fun excursion! Lots to do and see. The museum is a must!!

Yeah we have those goodies here in California except for the Wonderbar..BUT the other goodies are here for sure!! Enjoy them my friends!!!! I just love how you two just get up & take off traveling, I should of done that before having children then after I was done traveling have my 5 kids, their ALL adults now with families BUT IM TO OLD NOW!! & my health isn’t what it use to be!! Our tour guide told us that when it snows in Victoria, everything shuts down just like it does in Alabama. They don't have enough snowfall to justify the expenses of snow plows.
