Lighter is better if you don't want it to look like a dungeon and want light to reflect so you can see. Especially at night.

The stain on the right is nice wood stained the one on the left appears greenish

Looking good Rob. The gray blue if you are going to stain. Personally i would leave it clear with urethane or something similar. The only person you have to please is you though.

@@paulp1166 yeah the whole rest of the cabin is going to be just clear coated. I thought maybe a little color might add to it? I'm still undecided myself lol

You have my respect for doing this by yourself. That's a lot of work especially in this heat. I like the gray but not sure how it will look over pine knots. Dad's bedroom had pine with a slight red tint to the stain that looked good with knots. And about 25 long guns hanging off racks lol. Don't overdo it in this heat. Take care. 🙏👍🇺🇸

Since you are the one paying for it and going to live in it do it the way you like. Me notty white pine should have a polyurethane or so giving it a yellowish look. But like i said do what pleases you. Thanks for the video.

@@6.5grendel11 Yes most of the house almost all of it is going to have polyurethane over the pine. And just left natural.
