The open, uncluttered space...the touches of natural wood...the half tub...and the "wedge" atop...design with family in mind...including their daughter in helping and designing her own space (what a wonderful learning experience for her!). Can't get any sweeter...! Kudos to this fine young family. And again, Bryce, you never fail in presenting the best of the best!

I truly hope it works out for them - but I somehow doubt it, I mean the kid will grow up she'll need a real room she can stand up in (even more so as her parents considered that important for themselves - but not for the kid!) and a desk to do homework etc...sorry to be the party-pooper here, but I think it's ill advised to move into a tiny house with kids (unless you can really give them a room of their own, even if it's just a truly small one (as long as the bed fits and there's room to do homework and maybe put in a computer (or a TV and gaming console)...seriously, kids need their own space :(

@Penelope Jones I liked when Bryce called the deeper shower basin a "shub." LOL It would be nice to be able to stretch out in a nice-sized bathtub. I'd never heard that term "shub" before, but I agree with you all about the pop-up roof. Finally! As long as your house is just sitting for a long while, it might as well be able to transform into something better! It's still cozy in the loft.

@@livingbig Wait, they have a kid? How are they going to deal with the kid needing its own room with a desk etc. (note: Haven't seen more than the first minute...so yeah, I guess I'll just have to watch and see)...I mean I get that one person could live in a tiny-house and two (if none is introverted and needs his or her space - which unfortunately I do, so sharing that space? Impossible, I'd go nuts, bonkers, crazy!) if necessary, but three is stretching it IMHO!) Edit: So the kid has a "room" (as long as she's still young that works, but how about when she's growing up? I mean you can't give her a "stop growth" pill (not to mention that it would be unethical even if you could!))...don't think that'll work well when she's older however :(

But for how long - you (and the owners of this home) seem forget that kids grow up and need more room (sticking super-close to their parents is not in the nature of kids and having what basically amounds to a crawl-space isn't what a teenager needs for a room!)...I mean this rooms doesn't look as if there's the space to put say a TV or a computer, not to mention a desk to do homework at!

Anonski I follow a German KZfaqr, who built one and really filmed the process in detail, including listing all the costs down to the last cent. She ended up spending around 35.000 €. That house needs to withstand winter temperatures though...so proper insulation and a gas furnace had to be put in. It’s a basic built, nothing fancy (and with a lot o work done by her), but you could probably manage to spent less, if you buy second hand appliances for the kitchen and stuff. Or just make do with a small gas cooker at first and upgrade as you go. A built like the one in this video, would be way, way more though...and make sure, you have a plan as to where to put it and what the regulations and stuff are. Because that can be a huge issue, unless you own land.

In Australia this is true because the laws make it hard to park a tiny house unless there's an established home somewhere else on the land. Basically, the people whose parents have land are the best off in terms of doing this. In NZ there seem to be looser rules and people can do more unusual things.

@@jenniealexxa actually this is true in many states in America as well. What if your dog rolls in the neighbor's poo compost? And all the bureaucratic crap when it comes to land use...I would have had a field full of tiny houses years ago if it weren't for our local council telling us what we can and can't do with our property. Like we can only split it once, it has to go to your children, and you have to carve out at least ten acres for them. And it takes a rezoning mess to achieve that. Keep hoping the youngsters will change things for everyone.

Of all tiny home channel, Bryce and Rasa's Channel is the best. Bryce really brings out the personality of the owner while featuring the house plus he got that energy that makes the house owners proud of the piece of art they created. Living big in a tiny house is really the best.

Bryce, this one made me cry. I knew it would be good based on your excitement in the intro! It's sooo beautiful and child friendly. I live in a tiny house and I'm planning on adding at least another 144 square feet and this has provided so much inspiration. I looove the plants! I feel like I want you to go back every month 😀. I can't wait for the update! You've made my Month. Thanks for sharing.

Charlie's room can perhaps be eventually adapted using the same sort of raised roof as her parent's sleeping loft when she gets bigger.

Eventually they're going to want that extra space and since it's an after the move adaptation , they should have just built the extra parts and done it at the same time they did their own.

Wow, the design on this tiny home is just amazing, I love their layout. I'm personally not a fan of the homes that have the bathroom right beside the kitchen, I prefer the option they have gone with. Plus the way they have laid out the two lofts gives them all their own space. So as Charlie grows she's got her spot to grow and develop in. They have really thought of everything, and that pop up roof, genius 👏👏👏👏

Thank you for another great video. I sure hope y’all will get a chance to follow up with this family. Also, I thank you so greatly for your modest use of music! I love docs, but lately everyone has gone music crazy. Many of us out here get super distracted by the music and find it difficult to follow a story due to it. Your music placement, tempo, and volume are absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for that!

The best design for a house on wheels so far! The kitchen and bathroom aren't beside each other, not a cramped-up loft, many windows for ventilation, and not claustrophobic. Very clean and beautiful house indeed.
