It's worth noting the app bugs have been fixed. I can now upload or take a picture for each area. instagram.com/p/CLpQniYjMKz/

I have two of these hooked up into Home Assistant so it can trigger any form of alerts you want, and you can view the current stats on a dashboard with your other smart devices :-)

An enthusiastic introduction to this handy device, thank you. I have two. I’ve got an iPhone so I don’t know if my app is different - there is an option to email the results from each sensor as csv files - useful if you want to track data over longer periods. I think the battery life may be about six months and the sensor stores 100 days of readings taken every ten minutes. I have uploaded photos of each sensor successfully. What do I use them for? I put each one in a little pocket sewn under my ponies’ rugs to check they aren’t too hot or too cold. They live in a field all year round and wear rugs in winter. I can pick up and sync their temperature and humidity at over 50m via Bluetooth. I’d like a better understanding of all the information it gives; sometimes the graphs are a bit clunky to use. Overall, so far, I know my ponies are comfortable 24/7 so the sensors are well worth having and very good value - horse tech is usually very expensive!

They're very useful - that's a really good idea using them for your ponies! 😀

Hey man, great vid, not enough for this model. Have you used it over 24 hours? Mine seems to stop tracking the details in the graph after some time and I don't know if this is to do with the 'count up' storage options. Any ideas?

Sorry for my late reply - I don't have this issue, however you need to be in Bluetooth range to pick up the data

Thanks for the video. I wonder if it is possible to connect several sensors to the same app on the same phone? Imagine I want to monitor temp and humidity from several compartments of a house and get real-time time-series data within the same phone. On the other hand, the data you show on the screen can it be downloaded to a CSV or other format ready for further analysis? Thank you in advance.

Hi just bought this device and two more after first installation. Will start now to measure temperature outside, inside and heating consumption in order to see how this correlates. Anybody likes to join this study and compare/exchange data results with each other?

I can now measure what the hottest place is, either under the roof tiles in the eaves of the house, or the actual loft room? Now I can compare and see the exact difference on a hot day to a cold day also! Plus I get another app on my phone.... Great video, and you made me by a twin pack through your link.

Hi! Great Video! Can you please answer two questions about the app? Question1: How often does it take a measurement? (every 15 minutes? more? less than this?) and Question2: Is the history data exportable and able to be sent to an email address or ftp site? (if so, can that process of sending history be done automatically with an user defined time period?). Thanks a lot!

So does it update the temperatures in the app once you get into the Bluetooth range or how does that work?

If you're away from the device and then reconnect, do you get the temperature readings from the time you were away, or is there a gap and just the next live reading?

Hi thanks for the video.I got this for measuring the temperature inside a box I’m shipping per air courier from Italy to Hong Kong so during transport. That’s cause I’m sending a waterbased paint and last time the paint may have gotten ruined during transport cause it froze? So even if no one is reading the signal during the flight in the cargo area. Will I be able to extract the data after my friend in Hong Kong sends me back the device??

So you don't get an alarm if temperatures exceed your settings? You have to keep manually checking it??? I don't think so.

Does someone know an app other than Sensor Blue? Or some open source code how to program the Oria bluetooth communication?
@TechBaffle
@TechBaffle 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but that would be a cool idea. 😀 I did use another app similar to Sensor Blue when there was an error, but can't remember. An open source app would be pretty cool to customise it or export results to another program.

FYI: The battery is not 2032, but rather a 2477, only place I could find them is on Amazon for around $4.00USD for 2. Easy enough to change. The Original last me around a year.
@TechBaffle
@TechBaffle 2 жыл бұрын
That's interesting! I've only replaced mine with CR2032 cells. I'm using a GP CR2032 battery, which I got as a pack of 10 for only £2 (I think it was a short promotion). Is there a longer capacity for CR2477 cells?
@HallsZito
@HallsZito Жыл бұрын
@@TechBaffle Check the mAh of each battery, which vary from brand to brand. The CR2477 can yield 3 to 4 times more than a CR2032, depending on the amperage of each one.
@TechBaffle
@TechBaffle Жыл бұрын
@@HallsZito That's a good option to go for, if you can get them at a good price. At least it won't need replacing as often 😁

It will be in a Bluetooth range - so not that far - you can use inside the house but only the room closest to the garden.

@@TechBaffle Is it possible to get any "Bluetooth Amplifier" in order to extend the range of this device? I am not sure if this can make sense.
@TechBaffle
@TechBaffle 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think so - For a longer range, I'd advise finding one with Wi-Fi although most likely would need charging as it uses more power.

You have to get a screwdriver between the loop and the bottom piece. Scroll the pictures here: instagram.com/p/CLpQniYjMKz
@TechBaffle
@TechBaffle 3 жыл бұрын
I must say it wasn't that easy - The gap between the loop and the bottom piece is quite thin so you need a thin flat-head screwdriver (or prying tools if available). The clips have to un-clip so requires a bit of force. I wish it was a bit easier!

This model doesn't have an easy to access button. So the only option is to remove the cover (use a screwdriver in the slot, to wedge it open) then there is a button inside, or you can remove the battery.
