It looks like you have both made yourself a comfortable, modern manageable home for not a lot of money. You will take a huge amount of satisfaction looking around and seeing all of your hard work paying off by what you have created. Well Done.

Absolute credit to you both WOW the very first thing I noticed is how impeccably clean and organised you both are 👌My mother always taught us Everything has got a place everything in it place and also there’s NO excuse for filth!!! I have come to realise that the simple things in life are often the best and minimalist can really appreciate that because we need to take a lot more time to enjoy each other’s company and talk and walk together in the realisations time passes SOOOO quickly and the day will come and it’s would be nice to remember and reflect back on our lives and close our eyes and know that we have no regrets 💕Well done to you both and thanks for the inspiration ✌️👍😊

I built a 9x6 m shed about 4 years ago, total cost $20,000 today it would probably be $40-59k. I’m amazed with all the work you have both completed. Excellent.

I bought a finished shed house in 2021, also totally off grid which means no bills. My aim was to get out of the city and live a peaceful life in a semi rural area. You are spot on when you say we don’t need more than this. Life is so uncomplicated, happier and far more relaxed than ever before, the maintenance of the 4 acres gives me exercise and purpose. Good on you guys doing it all by yourself, enjoy your off grid living.

My wife and myself have a similar story to your situation. We went from a 5 bedroom house to building a wide span cabin 85 small home. Pretty much did the bulk of the work bar the plumbing and yes very rewarding and we have enough space. A lot less stressful having no mortgage and less utility bills. This is a great example of how home ownership is indeed still possible for a young couple just starting out. $90,000 + land costs ? One can easily afford that mortgage just working minimum wage at the local gas station. This place is simple and comfortable and looks to be very well built for the long term, minimal maintenance will be required over the next decades.

Yes guys, you have made your journey become our journey. Scott thank you for putting so much detail into this and other videos, as you know - we will be partaking in a similar journey soon enough. You add measurements and the little details that people miss (like the walls take up space), and it is these little tidbits of information that make the layman able to venture into our very own idea of 'off grid'. It is always good to get to watch these, as it gives me ideas (as it will for others), and allows me to formulate a plan. You both deserve the credit for doing this and you both should be so proud of the passion that has allowed us to learn what we need to make this happen for ourselves. Except for a few random places no one would ever know that the basis was a "shed". And that is all down to good taste, clever ideas and talent. It is more than enough for two and a pup. Extensions can always be built and connected if the need ever arose. Looking forward to you getting back in the shop Scott but that is not to say that the whole migration / transition is not thoroughly enjoyable = ) Thank you both for sharing.

Thank you very much for the cost break down. I was thinking of doing this, but decided to go with another flip house, before starting down this path (also before spotting this video). This video has confirmed to me that I have made the right choice. I am 64 and unemployed, so very little chance of finding work at this age. Which meant that if I had run out of money part way through, it would never have been completed!

G'day bloke's. My hat goes off too you both. You've weathered the storm and come out a pair of winners. What a great job you both have done, can't say one or the other 'cause it was definitely a team effort right from the start. I remember the tree's coming down and Scott saying " What have we done?". That I think was the start of the magic and look where you are now. Amazing what a drop of blood, sweat and some tears can produce. Bloody top stuff bloke's. All the best to the 3 of you.
