Incredible views and luxury glamping combine for a wonderful experience at Woodnest Odda Treehouse; part 4 of our Norway’s best hotels & Airbnb series. Is this tiny house /tiny hotel, Norway’s best glamping experience? Nestled on a mountain top, overlooking a fjord, these places are pretty special. There are 2 lower tree houses that sleep four, and two upper tree houses that sleep two. Each treehouse is a testament to innovative design and respectful integration with nature. With their curved, organic forms, these treehouses blend in with the landscape; your own little nest in the sky. The large windows frame great views of the surrounding fjords, forests, and mountains, but there is a pretty visible aluminum smelter on the fjord that you will need to pretend doesn't exist (that’s what wine’s for).
BOOK YOUR STAY HERE (AND PLEASE LEAVE US A TIP, AS WE GET 0 FROM THE HOTEL):
swankguide.com...
And you’ll need a drink once you get up there, because these places are hard to get to. The walk up is totally doable, but you need to be able-bodied because it’s steep and will take 30 to 45 minutes.
The kitchenette has what you need to cook, pots, pans, and cooking oil. There’s also tea and coffee.
The Treehouses are a masterclass in high-end finishes and efficiency. Yup, the interiors are compact, but designed to maximize space and comfort. Each treehouse has comfy bedding, modern bathrooms, modern furnishing, all crafted to harmonize with the organic aesthetic.
The treehouses give you a unique vantage point to watch the ever-changing landscapes, from the misty mornings where the fjords are shrouded in a mystical veil, to some great sunsets. The area’s great for hiking, bird watching, and there are two national parks close by. Enjoy!

Why should you trust us?
The Swank Guide is supported by you. Our recommendations are 100% unbiased; we choose what we think is best. We’ve partnered with Booking.com because that ensures we can get you the lowest price. In most cases, you also have ample time to cancel.
Our goal is to save you time by finding the best hotels and experiences for you, and eliminate the stress of paying for something before you understand if it’s right for you. We work with total editorial independence. That means nothing appears in our videos as a recommendation unless we’ve tried it and loved it. These are the hotels and activities we choose for ourselves and recommend to our family and friends.
We strive to be the most trusted, the most transparent, boutique hotel recommendation service…. ever. If you choose to use our link to book a hotel, you are supporting our work. You can go around us - it won’t save you any money. This hotel commission fee supports us as we travel the world looking for the best places. Running a business costs money, and this is how we cover most of our expenses.
We curate unusual, independent, and sustainable boutique hotel experiences. We’re a small team of 3.5 people - for now. Our founder Don is an American who’s lived about half his life overseas and has traveled to over 60 countries - always looking for that perfect hotel, and often being disappointed. Before starting Swank, Don worked as an entrepreneur in the clean energy space, and then sustainable housing - one of the reasons sustainability is in our DNA.

You find Industry everywhere, that factory actually produce the "greenest" Zink available on this rock. The couple who made this happen, are incredible. They risked everything to build their dream. They where not even local, but they saw the potential. A friend of mine worked on the plumbing on those. Got the chance to work a bit on it, but can not take credit. Let me just say, getting water to have the correct pressure with this difference in height, is a bit challenging.

Nice video! It's interesting to see all the beautiful places you stay at. Maybe I will try some of them myself. The map at 0:24 is in a funny angle, and you have switch Bodø and Bergen. Bodø is to the right (North).

I agree most people wont care, but some might, so just trying to give people the info they need to make an inofrmed deciosn about where to stay... if you show up to a hotel and are disappointed, they will not gibe you your money back...
