Tiokasin Ghosthorse, Lakota elder, speaks on 'the web of life' at the Communion with the Wild retreat, June 2022. The retreat explored our connection with five aspects of the natural world: land, plants, insects & invertbrates, animals & birds, and the whole web of life. The retreat was a collaboration between St Ethelburga's Centre and La Jarrie in Normandy, France, a beautifully tended farm with a permaculture garden, woodlands, wetlands and wilding meadows. The retreat was co-hosted by Justine Huxley and Sharon Brittain.

Thank you...I was talking to beings in the next World complaining that I don't like living in a box...now I realize I am not the only one needing my freedom to be just allowed to be. Everyone has been put in a box in this soceity and that is why all of us are suffering unbearably.

Oh, so true, purposeful human activity stuffing each other in boxes, like humans are running an Amazon factory boxing up other humans. So fortunate for me, I have had flashes of insight, my entire life I always know this box obsession is completely illogical.

Don’t take stones or shells home. And I remember her car sticker it said. *. The earth doesn’t belong to us. We belong to the earth* I love you. Lakota people and I would like to thank you for all the joy you’ve bought to us..🦅

In the moment as a way of life' - Like many of us - have known since I was a child but seem to have been mislead off this path... & today, listening to this... Truelly is like I am Coming Home... Back to the truth again x Thankyou Tiokasin Ghosthorse for Re-opening the door to Remembrance. I Love You as I Love Me as I Love All 💕

Hello. I am writing to appreciate your work and sharing with the world. There is no doubt in my heart that the sharing is long overdue. With the ancient teachings of nature we can balance humanity, know our true nature, respect it listen to nature. I am resonating with most of the sharing. I also feel healed from lies about heaven and earth. Thank you.❤❤❤

In this lifetime, I have come bringing with me many lifetimes, and always felt the relationship with things around me, feeling part of never above, but in kind~ship. It is always made more sense the native way. It is a natural way of being for me to be caring and kind and listening to all that speak around us rocks, plants, air wind fire, the four-legged, the winged ones, the dwellers of the water.

Your teachings presented themselves to me through KZfaq today - I am thankful. The explanation of mystery and the difference between how non-native people are taught to seek understanding and ownership of mystery is very helpful. I was raised without any understanding of religion or spirituality, rather to avoid it and look down upon it. For all the logic I was taught, I inevitability kept leaning towards spiritual teachings again and again. Ultimately falling into, and then out of Christianity - but while there, realized "the mystery of Christ" which seemed relevant to me, was severely misunderstood by a large number of Christians - utterly stomped upon by many. It's exactly as you say, it's to be accepted, yet while they claim to, on faith, many do not live it. It's your verb vs noun - within and without, there is no obtaining, rejecting or understanding, it simply is. There's no avoiding it - relationship, synergy, the stars, everything always, now and forever, all at once. The denial of it is why intuition is blocked. Not teaching it to the young is why anxiety and depression and addictions are rampant. And would they believe it anyway? Not enough live it to be modeled after. Generations of people forcing their completely misunderstood beliefs upon others, yet the others completely understood those beliefs deeply. Some call this irony, I find it excruciating. I live in Minnesota and White Earth seems to be making progress here obtaining land and water rights, making changes which help all rather than only themselves. It's a testament to the deep strength of an entire people. Again, miigwech.

For the young woman in video near the end that writes poetry and concerned about charging: money is an energy exchange. All things are energy. Money ISN’T evil, or shouldn’t be used. Native cultures on all lands have done an exchange of items since the beginning of time to respect what came from another. Your poetry is worthy of being exchanged for monetary means for your human thriving on this earth plane. You ARE worthy! 🙏🏽💗🙏🏽🙇🏽‍♀️🙌🏽

You’re kinda missing the point…she explicitly said she didn’t want to trade her passion for money. Money, in its current state, is a western concept designed to assign value to asinine tasks and standards so yes, money is evil. It has caused so much pain and suffering, and essentially made great Mother Earth a playground to the upper class, the most spiritually ignorant. To share your passion, without expecting financial gain, is a great blessing. We should all strive for this, because yes, then that young woman will be able to trade her passion for someone else’s, be it through food, or a garment, or through wisdom. What you are attempting to say is good hearted and understandable, but also lacking the critical thought of what Tiokasin Ghosthorse is saying…

I just wanted to tell the last person who asked a question that your worry might be a trigger for some but some others who have been feeling it as deeply share it with you always until it is dissolved in better days, so thank you for being brave with deep vulnerable feelings, your strength gives strength to those who see it and there's always someone seeing it, always, so thank you for sharing your message. I believe another way to say what Ghosthorse said is: you are the centre of the universe just like any other being is. Thank you for sharing this beautiful assembly and thank you to Ghosthorse for walking with.

Thank you for sharing this meeting and special thanks to Tiokasin Ghosthorse for sharing your perspectives. I saw the video a while ago, with lots of pauses to let certain images take effect. Since then, I have felt accompanied by a transformation impulse that transforms frozen nouns into living verbs. I'm moving e.g. from the thought “the plants on the side of the road” to the feeling “here it is planting”. I'm amazed at the wonder of this “here it is planting” and am curious to feel more of it.

May I ask how may I learn your language you been speaking. My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. I have a black and white photo of her and for the last year I’ve been slowly reconnecting to that part of my family, by meditating and listening to music. I don’t know much about the language of Cherokee if it is similar to one you speak, like not having nouns and being a living language. Is it possible I could learn the language you speak? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You have definitely connected some things I have been contemplating. I would like to know more about the retreats. But I’ll head to the website provided and go for there. Grateful for this video and your valuable teachings at this time. I will carry it with me into a new course I just recently started. Taught in the UK called Forest School. And the word “ethos” is going to bring about profound change in the world on how we teach our children. Grateful for my guidance to it. Beautiful people.

Interestingly Hebrew doesn’t use vowels…. Neither did Egypt or Mesopotamia. Basically vowels are pretty much just place holders that are used to redefine the meaning of words. This is obvious by how much the Hebrews would swap vowels around in a attempt to confound people from the truth. Understanding doesn’t come through language as much as it does from observation. You want to truly know and to understand then you better pay attention to more than yourself. To understand is to closely observe. God bless.
