1 Inside information = illegal. 2 Analytic edge = having insight = high IQ = genetic based, born with it. 3.Psychological edge = independent thinker who can go against crowd or market = genetic based, born with it. Bottom line: The nature of value investors are born in the DNA, not learned.

Nature - born with it Such as being miserly (wanting a big bargain or margin of safety) can be something one is born with just like a gambling DNA. Nurture- things that can be learned. Value investing can be learned. It is an acquired skill. The miserly DNA may help you pay less for something and to seek bargains. The gambling DNA could help you take big bets. Both can be helpful or harmful in extremes. Investing requires one to know oneself before you can achieve big success in the market.
