Reading slumps are difficult to combat, but reading a book that’s fairly easy to enjoy will effectively get you out of that. Whenever Haley comes around, it’s sure to be great content. I can tell for certain that she’s very passionate about literature.

I feel like booktubers put way too much pressure on themselves to read a really high amount of books. Reading 20+ books in a single month would burn anyone out. That's a ton of books for one month. I'm not surprised that we've been seeing so many videos from different booktubers talking about reading slumps lately. I finished 4 books last month and felt so accomplished, haha. I read Rock Paper Scissors last month and found it to be a really fun one to read. Her writing style is really fast-paced and exciting and I flew through it because I wanted to know how it would turn out. The ending wasn't perfect but I had a blast reading it. Anywho, I hope that you're able to take some of the pressure off yourself and enjoy every moment. A reading slump shouldn't be seen as a total negative. We all need a little vacation from our hobbies every now and then... and then we have a chance to miss it and come back to it with a new appreciation. :)

i read an average of 2-3 books per month and i feel so accomplished when i do! it’s crazy that booktubers put so much pressure on themselves to read so many books. it’s important to make time for other interests, so you dont get burnt out from reading.

Honestly reading slumps can be tough especially when there’s other distractions you can spend your time on but a great way to get out of that is by reading a quick book in your favorite genre (usually that helps me so I hope it helps you 😊)

I've been in an on-and-off reading slump for over a year now, so I feel you! Reading slumps can be really hard to combat, but I found works best for me is just let it be! If I force myself to read, I end up hating everything I'm reading lol. Usually, the reading mood comes back on its own.

I feel like each time a reading slump comes along (for me) my preferred genre of the moment changes up once the slump is over. If I’d been reading heavy horror, I’ll switch to romance or from fantasy to contemporary. A lil palate cleanser lol. I was so surprised when you said you weren’t in the mood for a romance! But got excited when you picked up a thriller. Happy reading!

Yes getting into the fall reading time!! I’m so excited to read some fall books this year!!

Saw the announcement on Instagram of the reading vlog coming today and I’ve been waiting for it! I can relate to being in a reading slump. I was super into reading in August and September, reading 19 books total. In October, I have read about 3 books so far and I’m going through them at a slower pace. I recently picked up The Inheritance Games and I am finishing the Folk of the Air series so I’m back to reading consistently now though! Excited for more vlogs to come and fall content🍁.
