Tip nr 1 have good winter tyres. No compromises

Wrap the steering wheel centre with coloured insulating tape to give you the straight-ahead position. You can feel the tape even when you can't see it. When going down a steep snow-covered slope, trying to scrub off some speed by nudging the snow banks can flip you through 180. But not all bad as you can continue in reverse.

Install four winter tires.

The better option is not to drive. Winter tires at their best is only 25% better

@@Eric-lx8hp Not driving is not always an option. I find they stop at least 1/2 a car length sooner which is enough to prevent a collision.

Cool Mazda3 drive school cars, in Ontario most drive schools use Corolla, the rest use Civic.

I call bushlit on pumping not working... i habe a 2020 kona all the bells and whistles and i still pump when i slide if not i go right threw

LOL ABS does not need pumping. You are actually making it worse if you pump a car that has ABS. Just google more about ABS

@derekmiller3614 your issue is not the ABS but the tires, if the thread are filled with snow or ice you will slide

@@Lucas-vd2gxthe tread pattern for winter tires are designed to whisk moisture out, however they are also designed to keep the snow packed in. I know, counterintuitive. Snow in the tread + snow on the ground = better traction.
