Hello, fellow doll lovers! Welcome to another video!
This is the third and final video on of my doll hairstyling tutorial series, and it covers my method for straw curls! I will be giving you all the information I have on how to curl your doll’s hair using cut pieces of plastic straws, from hair types, to sectioning, to styling, and more, on dolls with two different hair types. I hope this video is informative and helpful to you, and you can use what you’ve found and find a way that works for you!

I’m 55 and your video just brought back an amazing memory! When I was a little girl I would get my mamas perm rods and wraps and curl my Barbie’s hair! I can’t believe I had forgotten that. I have some old Barbie’s that I am restoring. I can’t wait to watch your other videos

I just found your channel! There are some charities that do except use dolls, and they will revitalize them if they need TLC. One is called.

This video was very informative I just FINALLY got my childhood dream doll the 1966 Christy doll a.d I wanted to wash and curl her hair but didn't know what kind of hair it was and what to use on it let lone how to use it. By chance I know you are very young and this was definitely before your time, know what type of hair came with her? I would love to see it curled because it if just under her knees.

I’m so glad it was helpful! It may be nylon…but I would try straw curls first and see if that works before trying a heat styling tool.

I washed it 5 times because it was pretty bad, then conditioned it and washed then straw curled it with just dampening it with water after getting all the straws in and oh my goodness it was crazy I poured hot water over it and then ran her under cold water shook all the excess water out and now she's in front of the fan hopefully I will be able to send you a picture it's my first attempt so pray for me

1st let me say thank you so much, I found out that the 1966 Christie dolls hair can stand high heat and curls beautifully. I can't do my own hair but the dolls hair is turning out amazing 😂. I can't wait to see what you do next❤

Do you have to use the diluted water and gel?

It’s definitely optional! I just love to use it because I feel like it adds a lot of shine, helps control frizz, and gives a little extra hold to the style.
