It’s just that once they bite, they tend to hold and that’s killed A LOT of children. Google “pit bull child death” and see all of the articles. I love all animals and I do NOT agree with euthanizing them unless they are sick or hurt too badly. So, with that said, I think pit bulls or animals known to be -hmm (tough?)- should be more for home of one+ adult(s) but not with children. Or just don’t leave a child under certain weight to be alone with a dog. I’m so torn on the subject because animals are wonderful; tigers, pit bulls and crocodiles included but I’d never wanna play with one lol those jaws can be RUFF 😁 whew!

You know what, *good for you*. Don’t listen to the people who say I don’t care or who say it’s not easy to get a puppy from a shelter. It is the right thing to do so don’t listen to any of these people.

Granny Omaha some people have a specific thing in mind and that’s where specific dogs come in mind and that’s why we will have breeders. While we live in a productive and a high technology society not everyone solely relies on them. Some still need work down around their house, carts pulled, livestock herded, guarded, seeing etc. These are dogs that you don’t always* find in a shelter or rescue so, sometimes someone is forced to go for a breeder but not just any kind. One who is reputable, so no backyard breeders or puppy mills. Also, most reputable * breeders sell their puppies as pets only with a limited contract for spay and neuter so, their dogs aren’t bred and contribute to the growing number of dogs without homes. Not every breeder is bad, go talk to them. I was looking for a show bred golden and I was surprised that many did not call me back haha. That’s a good thing considered they don’t know me (after gaining understanding) and because shows are sold with full registration so, with breeding rights. That’s a huge thing for them so they’re not easily given especially to newbs like me. I have to start with their pets, gain and build trust, probably be a continual buyer and golden owner and then will a breeder possibly(and there’s more to it) give me breeding rights. So chin up, some work hard and well for their dogs

Sharon Keys still, lets not shoot down people who want to adopt a pet from the animal shelter. Most people are looking for companion pets and you would still be suprised when you find them in the shelters. My sister brought home two adorable kittens for her daughter and they are a blessing.

Rescuing dogs is a very hard process and at 84% of applicants are told no. You have to be the perfect home in their eyes e.g no kids, no other pets or even leaving them at the kennels when you go away for just 2 days!?!?!?

I wanna say around 10 weeks old? Might be wrong, not a specialist, i just love golden retrievers
