Pro Tip: Attach your credit card to your cruise card on embarkation day. Then 48-24 hours before disembarkation day swap out credit for cash. Never leave the bill until disembarkation day!

To further clarify u can take ur cruise card and either put cash on it like a debit card or attach it credit card to it. On most cruise ships u cannot pay for things directly with cash. Most ships r cashless transactions

If u mean tips then msc posts the average top per day per passenger by geographic location on their website. They should have a service charge page on their website.

I just cruised with MSC and they put a hold on my credit card for $250 in case I went over my cash deposit amount. No charge was made on my card.

When you register a credit card on board the ship...do you need to have with you the actual credit card? I have a virtual card associated with my card credit card

Both as of 2023. However everyone should be prepared for the cash aspect of the machines on all ships to not work correctly. Everyone should prepare to wait in line at guest services at some point to deal with cash

Hi Fatima, quick question, I want to know do you need to link your credit card in order to use your on board credit, or can you use the onboard credit without linking the credit card?

Onboard credit on msc appears right on ur account once u start using ur msc app onboard. Regardless, always start off by linking ur credit card asap.

@@fatimamahmudusa inusually tey not to link my card becauweni carry dollars and use thatbon the last day to pay off any debt, i never got onboard credit before and wanted to know of itnwillcbe available without linking my card. Thanks for answering 😇🙏

@@reuelmaharajI understand ur goal. Just remember what I mentioned around minute 4: if u don't have a credit card or enough cash or enough onboard credit attached to ur cruise card u will be prevented from making any onboard purchases. Drinks without a package, merchandise, or excursions. No onboard purchases allowed when ur account is in Debit status on MSC ships that I know of.😅

Hi Fatima. Do you know if I can set a spending limit for my siblings. I will use my credit card for all my party but I want to set spending limits for everyone. Note: Everyone is an adult (+18)

Thanks for watching. Your credit card company may be the best one to ask for setting limits. Not sure the cruise ship or cruise card people can set limits like that. Cash might be a hassle but u can set limits by attaching certain amounts of cash first on each cruise card then swapping out credit card 48 hours before disembarkation day. I discuss that in my videos.
