I've done a couple of brutal one-night per resort split stays, and I've tired of them. Even moving after several nights doesn't have a lot of appeal for me anymore. I think I'd like to move away from split stays at least for a while. I have not found it easy, even as an able bodied adult traveling alone with little luggage. I've used both bell services and taking my luggage myself in my car, and it's just not as easy as it seems. I've often heard about stacking the better/best resort for the end of the trip, and I see the logic in this. But my perspective is different. I tend to be more excited and sensitive to the details of a trip in the beginning. Once I'm there a while, I tend to relax and not pay attention to small things. So going by that, I prefer to be wowed at the beginning of my trip, and later on, I'm content with things however they land. I'm off in a few weeks for my holiday trip. Last year it was one night each at AKV, BLT and GF--exhausting! This year, I'm staying put at Jambo House! Thanks always, Bekah!

We've done split stays a couple of times. A few times it was because we added a night or two on to a trip. A couple of times it was to splurge for a couple of nights - once was split between All Star Movies and Contemporary theme park view, talk about a difference!

so glad to have found this video! we just splurged for the split stay and will be doing AKL for the last part of our trip! do you know how early you can take your bags to bell service? our checkout/checkin day is the same as our HS so we would want to drop them off pretty early!

We only go to Disney every 4th or 5th year, so we LOVE split stays. The only downside we have had was leaving Hollywood Studios by bus to go directly to our new resort, Coronado Springs. Coronado has multiple bus stops & we didn't know which one corresponded to our room. And we got there during a DOWNPOUR, so strolling around the grounds was not an option. The bus driver & other resort guests were so helpful! But there were a few moments of panic. I just needed to do my homework better. I still recommend split stays & this vlog explains the process really well.

Excellent Video! You are spot on with your tips.. We did a split stay Nov2019. Ended up 1 night Disney Springs (came a day early), 1 week Pop Century, 4 nights All Star Movies, 2 nights at the new tower Coronado Springs. Started with 4 nights Pop Century only, but I couldn't keep from adding days... lol :) Only issue Meal Plan for week 1 only to try to save but ended up regretting it.

We loved our split stay and it was so easy. We did 4 nights at BLT and then 3 nights at AKL Jambo. What a contrast but both great resorts. I did have another adult with me to help me pack up my kids stuff and the groceries so that is honestly a must for me. Not sure I would do that if I was traveling with my kids solo. I planned my switch day for my Epcot day because it didn’t open until 11 that morning. Gave us time to do any last min packing, time for bell services to come grab the bags and groceries and still had plenty of time to get on the bus to Epcot. I really recommend switching on a late entry day.

We’re going a 12 night 3 way in 2023: Contemporary, Boardwalk and AKL.

We are doing a split stay for the first time in April - 6 nights at POFQ and then 3 nights at Coronado Tower … ( with 2 Universal nights at Portifino Bay at the beginning!) so excited

We’re planning a 3 way split stay for our 11 night trip in March. Caribbean Beach, Beach Club and Poly. 7-8 park days. The rest resort days:)

Hello! Thank you for all the info! I'm planning a trip hopefully next year(I'm in Australia so I'm hoping the borders are open!) and thinking of doing a split stay. I wanted to doing this because I want to be closer to the parks I'm visiting on that day and minimise on travel time in the start and end of the park days. I was thinking of doing one hotel for the Magic Kingdom and another for the other three parks but I've never been to the US so I don't actually know how big the parks are and if this is a good idea. Is one hotel okay for the three other parks? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

We just got back from a Disney trip and I’m already planning our next one in a few years LOL. Love your channel as I’m very interested in renting DVC points to save money! Have you been able to finagle a split stay with two DVC point rentals, or would you recommend going with traditional/through Disney for one, and a DVC point rental for the other? Thanks so much!! 😊❤

We're doing out first split stay in April, and absolutely can't wait! Do you happen to know if I purchase Memory maker, will it carry over to the second half of our stay as well? I just can't figure out how it will work. We're staying 4 nights CBR/4 nights Coronado Springs/5 day park tickets.☺️

Do you have to be at the new hotel by a certain time like 5 pm to get your luggage or can you go to the new hotel later in the day and still call for your luggage ?
