Great tips and philosophy (all around.) I’ve a tip for you. The cells on your face grow like tiles, with gaps beneath. So when you clean your face, move upward, and whilst applying makeup, be careful to use downstrokes. Learned this from the great Tova Borgnine whose book I bought for a laugh as a teen-I ended up learning a great deal. Stay fabulous!

I use this same technique, but with concealer rather than lighter foundation. I have a horrible crease across the bridge of my nose that I use this technique on as well. (Been using ferulic acid + E and retin-A and COQ10 since January, and I can honestly tell a difference in the depth of that crease! Yay!) Great videos. Very helpful!

Yes!! another thing that helps is to use a lighter concealer after you put on foundation. Let it sit there a bit so it kind of bakes in. Then blend it in.

You are so spot on. I recently went and had a professional day make-up tutorial for a bday gift and they made many adjustments/some changes that did help me look younger. I'm minimum on make up but have realized at my age it does make a difference.

I love that lippy on you, I have something similar, maybe a shade more to the terracotta and I use it all the time. It brightens up my face a treat! It´s great to hear you stress the importance of matching lip colour to blush colour, I often see women wearing a plum shade lip with a brown \peach tone blush it looks hideous, I even use a tiny smear of my lipstick as a blush (lightly powdered over) if I cant match the lipstick well.

You seemed to include the nasolabial folds in your description at the start of the video. The marionette lines are only from the corner of the mouth down. Wonderful tips! I knew about concealing the lines but not about the lipstick trick. It works magnificently. Thank you so much.

WOW! That is stunning! Thank you again so much for this video! I have a droops on one side of my face causing the Marionette line on that side of my face and my lips on that side too. I've been trying to add a bit of extra lipstick on that side so that it looks good lifts my lips up a little, but I didn't know what to do about the Marionette line. It only occurred to me to lighten them just a tad only 2 days ago! So I was really chuffed to see you do it, and your way of doing it. I'll certainly use your way as it's far superior than mine! I also loved your lip colour! It was like turning on a light and ..... taking about 10 years off your face! I love the subtlety of your make-up too. I noticed that you don't use a sunscreen, primer or moisturiser before your make-up up. Maybe you just do I tyt before you use your foundation and haven't mentioned it. I recently bought an all in one from Aldi. It's a 50+sunscreen, a primer and a moisturiser all in one. I still use my regular skincare products but now I finish it off with that product. I live in Hervey Bay so you will understand that I hate having to us3 too many products on my skin as it just tends to ' slip off' sometimes in the humidity., so I thought that was a great product if I don't want to use make-up on the days that I don't have to go out. I'm so grateful to you for these videos! And, you look absolutely beautiful!

I do EXACTLY what you do but I also put in creases light reflecting particles concealer to blur and then use powder ....excellent result

I was so upset today after trying to fix my wrinkles by myself. It seems that these problem areas just showed up yesterday! HA! I had my blush all wrong as well as my lips. I didn't know what to do with my marionette lines as well. I have always been told I look young for my age 54. Now I am wondering if people were just being polite. (as you can tell I am feeling very sorry for myself tonight) Anyway, I thought that going out and buying a bunch of high price items would fix the problem, when in fact your tutorial was the best thing I have seen. Quite informative video..u explained everything with precision. Till date I dnt knw how to properly apply lipstick & dts y i use tinted lip balms... One request... Cud u pls do a detailed video on how to apply mascara if u hv scanty eyelashes? Does mascara irritate ur eyes coz once i tried to put mascara my eyes got irritated... & Also a video on how to use eyebrow pencils

I tried your techniques and I have to say I am thrilled. The lipstick trick is beyond amazing. I was worried it might make my lips look smaller, but they actually look plumper and younger. I can see the perfect logic in the marionette's lines trick, but I will have to find an extremely light, oil free concealer due to me being paper white and very oily. I'm excited to try it! Dermal Fillers work wonders. Don't let them inject them into the lines, but have them inject the filler into the apple of the cheek. It lifts the cheeks and the marionette lines look a lot less deeper. 1 syringe in each cheek, once per year.

Hello, I'm trying this every day the past 6 months. If i go outside it's very visible because of the harder and colder temperature light. Indoors, it's fine, but it doesn't stay on a long time. Thanks to having dentures the past year, it's awful looking and I'm paranoid of just going out anywhere now.

This is great! I've been using this technique for the nasolabiale fold that I have on one side of my face because of a palsy caused by a disease similar to MS that has caused the whole of one side of my body to weaken markedly. I've also watched a video on the KZfaq site of Wayne Goss where he shows where to use make-up to 'lift' the face. If you're not familiar with him, I'd highly recommend looking at some of his videos because he provides a lot of valuable information for older ladies. He's even done a video using his mother as his model. Another KZfaq site I'd highly recommend watching is Dominic Sache. She was a news presenter on a Texas TV channel for many years and not only does she discuss make-up for we more mature ladies, but she also has a lot of information about all sorts of things that are pertinent to our age group about skincare. She discusses how to get the best 'bang for our buck' with estheticians, professional advice on menopause, skin treatments that are within many budgets, mental health, exercise, relationship break-ups, and so very much more. I hope you don't mind me recommending these two sites but I feel that the more information we have, the better we are able to get the best out of the last stage of our lives. I'm 70 and have learnt a lot between your channel and these other two. I prefer to stay with just a few channels otherwise it can become overwhelming. I hope that you will enjoy my suggestions. 🙂
