Tips for Drawing Landscapes in Alcohol Markers

Hang out with me while I draw landscapes with alcohol markers! Feel free to ask any questions you have during the stream. I'm reminded when I work on my own art projects to just not get frustrated or give up in the early stages; if you keep going you'll see it start to work. I especially loved seeing the one of all those buildings come together so beautifully. I have never done those buildings due to pure intimidation, but now I see a way to get through it. I can't draw anything but wanted to let you know that I ordered the watercolors you suggested. They are due to arrive by 10 pm tonight. The only ones I have are a really cheap set from Michaels...very milky. Thanks, Lindsay!

Am watching your replay mid January whilst waiting on my 16 Coptic & 60 set of Ohuhu markers coming through door. Not having used these before am loving your hints and tips. Being more into organic watercolours it’s right down my street. I’ll check out blender vid softer this. Brilliant and thank you for taking the time to do these vids. 👍👍

I tried watching 3 times and fell asleep. Relaxing to say the least. The mountain scene, once transformed by your artistic vision, reminds me of some areas around here that are in the middle of fall color from larches. Really want to paint that one. You do amazing work with markers, especially making their "streakiness" into texture. Thanks for sharing.

Great video and tutorial as usual Lindsey, thanks!! Regarding your comment about the different nibs, I also never understood why most marker companies put out the brush and chisel combo. I have always preferred the brush and bullet combo, as I find the bullet end much better for fine details while the brush end is great both for blending and for larger areas of color. P.S. I also started with the Bic mark its, and Sharpie markers, and have both the fine and ultra fine of each color!!

I think they do it because that's what Copic does or maybe the chisels are cheaper than bullet nibs?

Hullo Lindsay, a wonderful stream so far and knowing you I believe that you are just getting going! I wish there was a way to get the chat window on the replay, I believe that I have seen this, but I just don’t remember when nor do I know how you get it! Thank you for sharing your marker and multi media expertise! I have a sensitive nose but I don’t find most alcohol markers that strong. I once had to use a xylene markers and I believe that they made me high or loopy at least! They are like super powerful Sharpies! Ok back to the show/video! Well Lindsay you have once again completed a phenomenal video experience! I have recommended alcohol markers asking what do you want them for? Is cost a minor or major concern? Best top of the line, cost is no object? Copic is your brand. Most attentive brand they listen to customer feedback and very reasonably priced? Ohuhu is your brand. The best from both ends of the marker spectrum! And should you already have a collection? Use what you got!

When there are ad breaks on your live stream your chat picks where it left off. When the ad is over the stream picks up right where you were in the chat. Nothing you say or do is cut off. The whole chat is recorded. Hope this helps. Thank you for the tips. I will use some of these for y water markers.
