Great idea to invite these guys. It's so much fun just watching the videos and seeing the chemistry between everybody. #oddlysatifying

My church just uses one console, but the sound engineer goes round with an iPad asking the musicians in turn what they need adjusting. We only ever use two venues, so most stuff stays pretty much set.

if you're doing a duet or group singing, do you only hear your own voice or do you hear the other singer's voice?
@carrie72256 жыл бұрын
you would usually put yourself louder in your in ear's, but you would probably still have the other person in your in ear monitor mix so you know when it is your time to sing

That was interesting.

Is the yamaha console that was mentioned a second console exclusively for monitors? how does that connect to the FOH console? dante or something?
@DazzleCamo7 жыл бұрын
Yup, both consoles and stagebox and whatever else on the Dante network. You can put Digital Audio Labs personal monitor mixers on a Dante network, too, if you'd rather roll that way.

Evan Mehre what's a Dante network? Sorry I'm just trying to figure all this out lol
@samuelthorogood38786 жыл бұрын
Dante is audio over IP, its just a standard protocol for sending audio between devices that are made by different manufacturers. This means that the desk on monitors doesn't have to be yamaha. It could be sound craft but still connect to the yamaha over dante

Samuel Thorogood thank you so much

Christopher Paz no worries. Dante is very complex and very powerful once you get to know it, but can be quite daunting to start with. Would recommend watching videos on it of examples of dante connections rather than just how it works and that gives you a better idea of how you can use it and therefore a better understanding of how it works.
