Happy Friday, all! After the fun live cardmaking session on Tuesday, I wanted to create even more patterned paper cards. While organizing my dies, I remembered I had the Color Combos die from Waffle Flower, which is perfect for paper piecing!

Beautiful! Just made a couple of dozen envelopes from patterned paper, each with four triangles cut out. I kept looking at them thinking about a flying geese quilt pattern. Now you've given me a better idea!!! Thank you!

I stick the dies to the plate with washi tape and just place each paper on top to cut them. The first time you cut the dies stick down. So much easier you never have to move the dies. X Bea In Scotland

What cool ideas. I have at least 5 million sheets of 12x12 background paper, and it is so pretty I cannot bear to toss it. But I do not use them anymore. This is a great way to use them!! Thanks.

Really nice cards, good to see masculine cards too. I’ve been obsessed with paper piecing cards lately. Another way is to put your patterned paper on to double sided adhesive before die cutting. Then just peel the backing off and stick down. Good to prep if you’re on the go.

Wow, Kristina! I might have been brain dead after coming up with half that many arrangements of pieces. LOL I did something similar for one of the lessons in Spring Card Camp 2, & I finished only 2 cards out of 5 (so far). I have the pieces adhered to the other 3 panels/card fronts; I just have to do the greetings. But it did take a lot out of me, just coming up with different arrangements! :P I love these cards. I think the one with the triangle woodgrain paper pieces and the simple "hi" circle stamp is my favorite. They'd all make great masculine cards, imho. Love these Kristina! They remind me of quilting patterns. So helpful to have some ideas for different ways to use up pattern paper, while also creating multiple cards in a time efficient way. I also really appreciate card designs that are suitable for any recipient or occasion and don’t require coloring.

This is a great technique you thought up. I can't wait to try it myself. I am a fabric textile artist and love quilting. Paper crafting took a backseat for a while but have gotten back in touch of late. These are awesome cards. TYFS, Donna, in California.

Omgosh Kristina! Absolutely LOVE THIS technique! You knocked this right out of the park! And this is something I can do while laid up with broken hip and femur. And broken arm from Feb 29th still not healed. But anyway.. My sister in law has my gemini jr on a TV tray table next to bed. my waffle flower dies and paper pads in a cloth bag. Other paper crafting supplies in another small cloth bag Thanks soooo much Kristina. I have A LOT of pattern paper that will get used! Great idea! Love and hugs.

That press n seal technique, brilliant! I’ve never bought press n seal because Saran Wrap works for me, well I’m adding press n seal to my grocery list to put in the craft room!
