First white powder is MSG. Can find it sold as a "flavor enhancer". Second green/blue powder is a rooting hormone powder. Easy google searches can lead you to places to buy both.

Foi relatado que o MSG (o po branco utilizado em muita comida enlatada) mostrou um efeito positivo no crescimento da planta quando usado como fertilizante devido ao seu alto teor de nitrogênio (Kraboun et al., 2013). Semelhante ao esterco de galinha, o MSG contém uma substância que promove a propagação de micróbios benéficos do solo (Lin, 2010).

The white poweder is MSG. MSG was reported to show a positive effect on plant growth when it was used as a fertilizer due to its high content of nitrogen (Kraboun et al., 2013). Similar to chicken manure, MSG contains a substance that promotes beneficial soil microbes to propagate (Lin, 2010).

Ok, I gave this a try. Day 3 so far and nothing is happening. Can't see any roots forming as of now. Will continue to update the progress .....or non-progress. With that said, doesn't look like any die off either. The only thing different that I've noticed is the water appears to be cloudier.

Ok, day 5, half way through the 10 days where this video maker had those amazing results, and so far, NOTHING happening other then the water is getting more cloudy. I'm beginning to think this video is a bunch of malarkey at this point in time. Leaves themselves appear to be in good shape still, so will give it some more time.

Day 7. Wait! What? Is it what I think it is? Can't tell for sure, but it looks like two of them have a slight bulge at the water line. Is it new growth? Too small to see with the naked eye to tell what it actually is. Will wait until tomorrow to see if it is what I HOPE it is. Here's hoping for success. Hope I'm not let down.

Day 9 ...and what enthusiasm I had the other day was unwarranted. It wasn't want I thought it could be...and I am 100% sure this is a 0% success rate for all 12 leaves. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. The leaves are turning brown now, and the stems are pretty mushy. No way can roots develop from those at this point. If by chance I do get SOMETHING positive, I will post. But I'm pretty sure this will be my last post on this subject by the looks of it all. #Don'twasteyourtime

I have to add my thoughts on all of these videos on propagating gerbera daisies on KZfaq. The ONLY one that has worked for me is the division of one. Or planting any viable seeds a flower may produce. I believe a lot of these videos are a farse. Not to mention, the results they post of the plant all grown in just a month, is totally not attainable in that short of time. No way from a start to a full grown plant in a month! Not going to happen with a gerbera daisy!!
