I’m leaving next Sunday to start the trail. It’s my first solo tour. I’m encouraged by your video that the trail is something I can accomplish.

Having rain gear will not only keep you so that the pouring buckets down on you the rain gear will even though you’re wet underneath it it’ll make it so you don’t get cold and it gives you it doesn’t deplete your energy because you’re being rained on

Magnesium, Keith. Anyone engaging in exercising needs ample amounts of Magnesium for Brain, Nervous system and Muscle functions. I forgot to mention I enjoyed your explanation of this particular rail trail. Good journey to you my friend. 🚴💨💨💨

Thanks for the video. I am thinking of doing it next year and am watching any video I can about it. Lots of good information. Congratulations on your trip. Maybe you want to try the GAP and C&O trails next. I live 5 minutes from the C&O and it is very special.

Nice informative video. Thanks! For the record, a you tuber named path less pedaled did a 30 minute interview with the head editor of the Oxford English Dictionary and they discussed origins and pronunciation of the word pannier. It is pronounced pan-yer and is actually English in origin. Just a bit of trivia for ya and yes, I can’t believe I watched the whole dang video about it 😊. Thanks again!

Good video. I'm planning to do Erie Canal trail in the future but that's gonna be probably next year after I'm done with W&O Canal trail.

Nice video - at 33:15 min, I think you mean Loveland Ohio with all the shops on the trail, not London.

I enjoyed watching your ride. I plan to do this in the Summer and hotel hop. How far out did you plan your hotels? Can you do it on the fly while riding the trail or did you need to book in advance?
@KeithOutside
@KeithOutside Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! I reserved two nights in advance at first. By the end of the trip it was just one night in advance. There are a lot of hotels along the way. I wouldn’t think it’d be too hard to get one.

I plan to bike from Chicago to NYC in June. I was thinking of going Chicago to Michigan by ferry but I’m from Cleveland by birth. Maybe I shouldn’t miss this.

The guy that told you about Ziploc bags are your friend he must be a commuter because you don’t want to rely on Ziploc bags when you’re traveling hundreds of miles or thousands of miles for some things that’s OK but not for 95% of her stuff

Hey Kieth, I am doing the trail in September. Hotels and restaurants, what did you find you needed to budget?
@KeithOutside
@KeithOutside 2 жыл бұрын
I want to say right around 2,200. That was for 8 days of hotel stays and restaurants. You can certainly do it for less.

Great video!! I am a runner who is transitioning to cycling; getting ready to purchase my first bike soon, specifically to join my wife!! She is intending to do the OTET this year, so I have been challenged to join (very excited)... I must comment on your hat; do you work for Austin Powder by chance?

No I don’t. Glad you liked the video. The OTET is an amazing trail. Hope you have a great ride.

Trail app says it's 271 miles. I'm guessing that figure didn't count the 55 road miles ?
@KeithOutside

Probably. The Ohio to Erie Trail website definitely says it’s 326 miles.

Loveland not London ?
@KeithOutside

Yes. Both are towns along the OTET. But Loveland is the one I wanted to talk about. I just couldn’t stop saying London 😂

50+ miles of vehicular road riding? Nope - No thank you. I am plenty fit enough - could do this in 3 days - but until that 50+ miles of road riding is gone, I won't even consider it. (Don't be fooled by the rural roads - just as dangerous if not more - the good old boys hate bikers and basically anyone that is smart enough to excercise).

😂😂 I was riding a rural road around quitting time and they were definitely flying.
