Tips on where to eat, sleep, rent sleds and snowmobile dealers in Old Forge NY area. Checkout trail side pubs and restaurants as well as downtown establishments. Want to rent a sled? Go to Raquette lake and see the WW Durant and visit the tap room. We show some convenient places to stay in Old Forge and Inlet as well.

The one thing they don't have in OF is a hospital lol I love this town so much and wished I could live here so peaceful so beautiful so nature loving happiness!

@@AdventureStreamingGuys yes they do :) Moms friend had a heart attack he lived up there but the hospital to rome new york was a hour n a half ride! Sadly he passed! He loved the living in the area!

My parents owned a bar, restaurant called The Loon I'm the early 90' s I forget what town, I believe it was Inlet NY. If anyone remembers this place, I'd love to know. My Pop loved owning this place, but sadly he s gone but not forgotten.

What's cost get out of state stickers and insurance

state is usually45 for out of state plus 30 for club....insurance is all over the place depending upon your record and state

do we need licensing to ride rented sleds up in the northeast? I'd like to take my ole' man for a fun trip before he's to old for adventures like this. we've both ridden a sleds and I grew up on quads and dirt bikes, I know who hasn't right.

Adventure Streaming Guys any advice on snowbibs, helmets, boots and mitts? vented helmets? waterproof bibs? brands of mitts and boots? it's brutal up here in the NE. I don't want the weather to make this a bad exp for us. I ski too but I can't wear the same bibs. jacket maybe. do they rent all this stuff?

@@pekesrepose7363 you should call the places that rent, I know one for sure does rent helmets and bibs. You can wear your ski clothes if you have correct layers...that is how I started. But if you get into the sport, you will want to get some good gear. Can't go wrong with KLIM, FXR, TOBE, BRP Skidoo, 509...etc. But that is a lot of coin for just a weekend, try and rent it.

Adventure Streaming Guys yeah my dad said he's not renting bibs and I laughed. he's got no clue how expensive this stuff gets. so just call around to see if the rent? any suggestions to places that rent good gear

@@pekesrepose7363 If you google Old Forge snowmobile rentals you will get a few options, I have rented from the 2 places I mention and show in the video. RPM has really good machines, but Sport Tours has some gear to rent. Now I have not rented in the last 4 years for any of my crew, so some of their services or gear availability may have changed. It would be worth a few phone calls. Let us know how your ride goes....
