Elite raids have a way of ruining the hype like no other. Nobody wants this yet they keep trying to force it on us....frustrating business practices

Might go after HO-OH for PVP and it's very unfortunate about the Rayquaza raids why couldn't they just make it a normally raid day I have no clue. I am really looking forward to Cyderquil community day cause I love Cuyderquil and Goomy com day was so nice I got a 1st place in a pokestop showcase. I also will do the HO-OH raids for the amazing shiny as well. Thanks for the useful Pokémon Go video

I’ve never done an elite raid before but is it like normal raid where once you beat it and attempt to catch it, the Pokémon goes away even if there is time left in the raid hour? Like you only get one Pokémon per gym. So if I go to a meetup and complete it at one gym and there is still time left in the raid hour, I have to go to a different meetup at a different gym?

I travelled between Europe and South America twice since this new season started and I'm yet to encounter a Hisuian Sneasel in the wild. Also Charcadet maybe available as shiny for the next event? (After Slumbering Sands)

Got my shiny yveltal on my 3rd remote raid and then at 6.pm gonna raid with my Freinds :) but what makes me so happy is HO-OH I wasn’t able get a shiny shadow ho-oh but now I’ll be able get one

I'm confused on the specific mechanics of elite raid. How many eggs will spawn? We can only do 1 raid for each time slot, 12-1 and 5-6? How many raids should I be expecting to do? I'm wondering how to most efficiently plan ahead

The elite raids egg take 24hrs to hatch, so depending on were you play, you could check the Friday before and see which gyms will host the raids, so if you have a place with multi gyms and the elite eggs are showing. Go for the ones that have multiple ones.

I am wondering, WIll Ray be with us for 2 or 4 hours? You say that it is 2 only while on the Niantic's graphic the information is "12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m." so I was thinking that the eggs will hatch at those hours meaning 4 hours of raids. Either way it is awful that they put it in Elite Raids so we won;t be able to get too much of them.

Yeah sorry about that, it will be 4 hours, eggs will hatch at each of those 4 times! Yeah it’s a shame it’s elite raids!

Ice types are what you want to aim for since Ray is both Dragon and Flying. Glaceon, Mamoswine, and Weavile are some good and accessible picks. Baxcalibur is solid too if you’ve got one, Jynx has some viability too. Avalaugg and Aurorus can help if desperate. Ice Beam Mewtwo (Shadow if you’ve got it), Shadow Mamoswine, Shadow Weavile, and Shadow Abomasnow (glass cannon pick) are good. Mega Glailie and Mega Abomasnow are arguably the best Megas for this if you’ve got em.

Aren’t Elite raids supposed to be reserved for Pokémon that aren’t yet released into Go? It’s unreal they put a Pokémon in elites that’s been implemented as a mega long ago already. But then again, it’s Niantic. Shocker.

Small Correction my dude, from the advert I saw Mege Ray elite raids are not from 12-1 & 5-6 its actually 12oclock & 1 oclock as well as 5 oclock & 6 oclock… not from…. Its 4 hours of raids not 2 correct me if im wrong

You dont need the app open to hatch eggs, i think

So adventure sync is used to calculated distance moved with your game not having to be open and every week you get rewards for how much you have walked/distance traveled and you can get 5 or 10km eggs from that reward that has a different egg pool

It's not a dumb question. Everyone has to start somewhere. If u walk 25 kilometers, you'll get a 5km egg; 50+ will net you a 10km & a 5km egg.

Special eggs that spawn 24hs prior to the raid and only on gyms that show "Elite X raids" when you open them at the top, cannot be remote raided and usually require at least 8-10 People to beat.

There's a small change you'll get one for defeating a Mega Rayquaza raid, there 100% will be a free research awarding one and there's also probably going to be another one in the shop
