in my experience, this doesn't actually work. this trick only keeps the grass from disappearing entirely, it does NOT actually feed your animals! my animals ran out of food and were grumpy with me before i noticed they were out of hay.

Gold cauliflower or a gold sturgeon also work for the Luau pot. I usually use a gold cauli since I usually have one left over from spring and they're worth less than melons

Gold cauliflower is what I use everytime. Especially year 1, when most of all I have is crops I've grown.

3:32 to make tip #15 even better, u can place a decoration at her front door which will do the same effect as standing in front of her, saving u the time of going there and doing it yourself, u can let an object do it, for reference i'm using the Standing Geode we receive from Gunther, so i'm not really sure if everything else works

For the last trick with the grass I always use lightning rods, gets some extra batteries and keeps some lightning away from the crops.

Tip for the coal farming with dust sprites that I’m just finding out now is that you can actually farm them in the dangerous version of the mines. The little mushy boys in the forest floors (with the hardwood trees) count as the dust sprites and I feel like they spawn even more than the sprites. Get some monster muck and the burglar ring (and some lucky rings if you have em) and go to like floors 40-50 I believe have them. And then just reset once you hit the forest levels that have the ghosts and spiders.

the way I got them is quite simple: crystalarium - fire quartz - furnace - 3 refined quartz

For the last tip I recommended using lightning rods, they won’t decay like fences and they serve another purpose which is obviously for batteries.

there is a better way to get ancient seeds. Go to skull cavern on a max luck day. Eat spicey eal or smt else to get luckier. Find an ancient floor and destroy all the plants with your sword. I can find 3 to 7 ancient seeds in one day with this technique.

@@AdyBen09 Not sure of it. You can get it pure by luck in mountain cave by bugs. If you have burglars ring it is much more possible. You can also find in a treasure chest too but personally i try to get in skull caverns latest end summer of year one. So it is still early game. I most probably wouldnt get one. The other thing is you have to wait so long for ancient seed to grow and make harvest. It takes too long to make your farm bigger with seed makers. With my approach you can collect 7 seeds in 2 skull caverns for sure

for luau, go to floor 60 in hte mines and get a ice pip if you forget to prep an item like me

It doesn't have to be fences you use for the grass trick. Cheese makers and mayo machines will also work (amongst many other things).

4:31 #19 It was added in 1.4 instead of 1.5 i think. That was one of the reasons i used a controller prior to 1.4.

Putting fence and object on grass to keep that section of grass. Sound super clever. But never realistically function. Animals gonna eat all the reachable grass. That little section of grass never got to spread and animals end up eating hay

>talk to Robin >Select building construction >On any build option, look at the bottom of the pop up screen and find the symbol for "move buildings" It doesn't matter which build you choose, once you enter the "move building" screen, any building can be moved (minus your house atp)
