To wear or not to wear capri pants? That is the question. According to stylist to the stars this style of clothing is not very flattering. Learn how with my tips on how to wear capri pants for mature ladies over 50+ I HAVE INCLUDED SOME PICTURES AT THE END OF THIS VIDEO!
There are still a number of women who wear the capri or cropped pants regardless of being told it is not flattering and the manufacturers are still pumping out this style for the 50 plus club. That is the reason I did this video to give out some advice and tips on how to wear them and still look stylish.

Thank you for this video! I am 5'2" and have suspected that the lengths you talked about are the right ones for me. Also, I agree that a slimmer leg is the way to go. I wore baggy capris for a long while before I realized how dowdy they made me look. This was all good information! I especially liked your white jacket with the buttons down the front. Those buttons give a great vertical line for us shorties! Very flattering.

@@timelessbeautiesbyjacqueline I am 5'3" and getting shorter by the year (I'm 69) and that was one of the first things I noticed in the video. I usually try to wear long necklaces, but since I play guitar, its not always practical. Your silver buttons were Perfect! Elongating, but also subtle. I hope to see more of you!

Yes, less talk and more example photos. If the photo was on screen and you were explaining why the wearer looks good that would be more helpful than us wanting to see a 3 second photo at the end. Your tips were very helpful fo anyone any age who wants to wear capris, crops and ankle length pants. What anyone wears should not depend on age but more on body type, shape and fabric.

I'm enjoying your videos. Thanks so much. I live in Texas where it is very hot in about 8 months out of the year so I'm always looking for ways to stay cooler. Since I am in my 70's, I no longer wear shorts but I still wear capris in the warmest months. I will look more closely where the capri pants hit the leg. So thanks again for the tips.

I know you had some criticism about not having a lot of pics, but I still found this video helpful. I guess I’m mostly auditory anyway. I find active wear to be pretty cute and stylish. And when you add the small heeled sandals like you said it def dresses everything up. And the button down tops like in the pics you posted also dress things up.

I noticed that you had a picture of Susan from Susan at Sixty. That's neat. I'm wondering if I am doing capris wrong. Since I have skinny legs I never gave much thought to where they should end but I like them to end around my calf at the biggest part. By doing that it seems that my legs appear more fuller and not so skinny. Also the reason why I prefer my capris a bit baggy. Great tips.

In the heat I prefer sundresses. I can’t for the life of me find one good reason for pants in the summer. I am so jealous of cool comfortable dresses that women can wear a take for granted. When it’s 90 and humid and I wear a comfy dress It’s sad that I have to endure negativity!

I am over 60, only 5' 1" and having problems finding capri's that fall just below the knee. I wear tennis shoes with a wedge. I try to find sandals with a little bit of a wedge but wearing Size 5 in sandals is also not easy to find. Ok, I am still kind of confused about your comments. Is it best to find capri's that fall just below the knees or just past the calf so you don't look cut off? I am ONLY 5' 1" maybe 5' 1 1/2 on a good day. I don't have a car and have to walk to bus stops and weather is super hot. I don't wear anything that are above the knee at all.

I'M IN my sixties, and I wear Capris , and I notice that when I wear them , they start to get loose fitting throughout the day.??

Hi Rosalinda thank you for watching. I am also in my 60’s. They probably get loose due to the material perhaps they have too much stretch and gives to much. I would possibly look at either a size smaller or a different style and fabric. Hope you have a wonderful day😀

Remember to look in the mirror from all angles. If they don't look good, don't wear them. Try another pair and look in the mirror. It they look good and feel good then wear them. We are all different shapes and heights so what looks good on some not so much on another.

Aren't "pedal pushers" the same as Bermuda shorts basically, both of which are pretty much "out" these days?

Hi Mel pedal pushers are a little longer than the Bermuda shorts, one is just below the knee and one is just above. More like the capri's you see today. Neither one is out of style they are still everywhere in stores. Have a great week!

You might want to edit the beginning of this video with a "at the end i have all of this in pictures for you to see" and the at the end stop the tape and talk briefly about which picture is which style and best for who. Some people like me get confused and have short term memories! I think you have great info and style and would like to see your channel grow. And having done a few myself I challenge all those before me who complained about this or that to try THEMSELVES and then come back with constructive criticism. Great job!

You are so right and I am thankful for a comment like yours. You know when I started this channel this was one of my first videos so I was definitely learning. As this video is already uploaded to KZfaq I don't think I can actual edit the video itself anymore. I was thinking of redoing it with an update. Not sure. Really I would never give a thumbs down on a fellow KZfaqr. I had just started my channel (new) then a year ago and I did have pics at the end. If I don’t like something I just move on.
