Tips to help see a stride. This is a super simple, but extremely effective tip to help you see a stride to a jump. Try it!!! You may be surprised at how well it works.

@@jenprior1406 that's a tricky one, but you should be able to find a mark somewhere on the pole... if you're at home I sometimes put a handful of sand on the pole for someone I'm couching. To be honest, though, you do kinda need a distinguishing mark or color on the pole,

Hi just found your channel ☺. I'm kinda learning on my own but take occasional lessons. Im a retired racehorse trainer & retraining one of my runners for eventing. She is absolutely loving it. I feel like when I take a lesson I'm more brave but sometimes feel like my horse is pushed more than we are ready for & it's always to fast because my lesson is only a 1/2 hour. So I decided to practice, practice, at home. Your videos are very helpful. I have about 7 jumps & a small cross country course ect.. we have been to a few cross country schooling in a group & she loves that the most! I like her because she doesn't get sour if we leave the group and canter of on our own. My instructor wants us to go to some schooling shows but I don't want her overwhelmed. We did try to go to a small jumping show but she was to anxious from the atmosphere so I untacked her to take the pressure off & made the decision not to do the classes. I just let her watch & she was very intrigued. I think I would like to do that a few more times before actually showing. She was very stressed & I felt bad. Thanks for the videos it's very helpful for me. I hope you keep doing them. Thanks

@@clear-round-training yes sir! Thoroughbred will give you everything and more. They get a bad wrap but they are very trainable, just sensitive.
