OMG! Time travel...from scrapbooking, i morphed into greeting card making, acrylics and watercoloring... Thank you CM for sparking my creative side. My corner rounders and punches still play an active part in all my paper crafting activities today. I remember my last convention in MN 2004, and visiting the Mall of America!! Such fond memories and times...

You have taught this "old, back in the day" consultant some new tricks to use with the CCS. I was at the convention when this system was introduced. We all went back to our rooms and started trying it out that night. They had given us a pack of paper, too. I just recently happened upon your channel and I am hooked. You have an amazing style of teaching that is so doable for the beginner as well as enriching for the experienced. I look forward to making my way through your videos. Love the POP system and am trying to get my planner together.

Thanks Lauren for this tips and tricks video. I've had my CM circle cutting system for about 23 years or so. My mat is actually the blue but rectangle shaped instead of a square and of course I have the old blades. I was so intrigued watching your new blades spin while you cut. Amazing! The reason I checked out your video though was for something else you didn't end up addressing. Maybe you'll have some ideas for me - I've recently gotten into Hybrid scrapbooking using digital elements I create in Photoshop Elements and then combining them with real products on my page. Today I created a bunch of circles with sentiments (I was practicing some of the techniques I learned from a class.) I made my circles all sizes I could use my CM circle cutting system to cut out. I don't have a digital cutter and I don't have all the sizes of circle punches. Anyway, the problem for me was how to line up the circle templates exactly to cut out the circles the exact size they were made. I hope that makes sense. For example, I made a couple of 3" circles. So, I laid my clear plastic sheet template over the top to line up my circle, but the problem then was moving the plastic measuring template out of the way to cut without actually moving the circle. They had to be exact or it wouldn't cut out the shape properly. I'm hoping you have a suggestion because it just about drove me bonkers. The system works great when you are just setting it up on top of a photo and you have some wiggle room. There it doesn't have to be exact, but what to do when you have an exact shape to cut out. I'm at a loss. Thanks!

This is such a great option for those of us that don’t have/want a die cutting system. How well does the frame stay in place when you hold it? I feel like I’d be tempted to put rug-lock or something grippy between the shape and the paper (in un-cut areas) to keep them aligned while I cut...? What type of pressure/dexterity does it take to engage the knife? I think the price of these components are excellent for all the options provided. 👍 SO helpful for you to do these demos - really makes a difference in understanding a product.
@CraftSomeJoy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Maureen, there are little “grippy” feet that hold the templates in place when you cut, and the blades are very sharp. It helps they can go both directions. Once you practice a bit it is super easy!👍🏻
