I like your vids but I live north of Seattle so some of your stuff I have to adjust for climate. but what I enjoy the most is seeing your son in his beekkeping suit helping out; bet he will be running that operation sooner than you think. best to you and the family.

Interesting video! I've had a bee chase me in the house, then when I figured it had returned to hive and came out, it was waiting for me on the back porch! Lol wth?

Hahaha We can totally relate to those types of situations. Some older bees can flat out be so mean. 🤷🏻‍♂️😄

I've heard some people claim that beat sugar is harder on bees or bad for bees compared to the normal cane sugar and other types. Curious to ask if you knew anything on this, or if its true. Thanks. The bee yards are pretty in the video. I can see why someone might like to be out there, with no people, so much room.

Hello have a question how many frames of honey do you like to see in a double deep before you drop feed on them? In my second year and have 15 Colonies and as you know climbing very quickly. But just wanted to get your advice.

Ideally I want the bees to have 6-7 frames of honey stores at all times

If they won't take feed add more sugar..if you want them to take it, guaranteed,least for me.Good Video Man Good Job 👍

This is unrelated to feeding, but I have a uncapped nectar question. I pulled all my supers 6 weeks ago to treat mites with APIVAR. Next week I can put the supers back on. Some frames had uncapped cells when I removed them so I was wondering if the bees will take care of any nectar that may have fermented. Or should I be aware of anything when it comes time to extract once the frames are all capped. Thanks and hope to hear from you! I'm in Sac BTW and just a backyard beekeeper.

Likely the bees will take care of anything they dont need or cant use. Should be now problem.

Do you put anything in your syrup to prevent it from going bad? Or do you only make enough to be used in a short time frame?

Tyler, I rarely make my own syrup but when I do it's just enough to get us buy. We buy our syrup from Dadant and sometimes Mann lake depending where we are working.

How did you put the numbers on the tops of your frames? Is it a wood punch?

Hey Jose, I notice a ufo of some sort to your left our right on 5:44. White dot Wizz by your head pass behind tree brush then goes straight up. Check it out if you haven't noticed.
