I enjoyed Mean Girls, but I went in after seeing Wonka and Color Purple. So I wonder if that was what helped me enjoy it.

It is kind of surprising (or not) that a majority of people only know the Idina Menzel riff and have attached that riff to the identity of the song.

My husband got me into it. So you could imagine my surprise when going to watch a game with him and people sing YNWA from Carousel. I was ready to sing along. 🤣. Also, imagine my husband’s face when I said “I know this song! Billy Bigalow just wanted money to support his wife and unborn baby, but it was bad robbery and died. Nettie Fowler sings this song to comfort Julie since she’s poor, pregnant and now a widow. And we’re still in the first act!” I was meant to be a Liverpool fan. Oh and I got to see a game in Anfield!!! Do you have a favorite player?

​@@CareOffBookI grew up with a big brother who loved Liverpool growing up, so I "inherited" it from him and my mother has got it from me so it's a whole thing 😂❤ Oh gosh I'm part of a Discord server supporting the women's team and informing some of them that YNWA is from Carousel was a "This is MY moment" sort of thing 😅 I got to be in the Kop watching the women play at Anfield last year and it was a life long dream come true! Funny enough my husband’s story is similar to you as he inherited the love for Liverpool from his brother and now my family is into it. The Carabao Cup winning made me cry to see how Klopp had the faith that the B-String could rise to the occasion. Some of them being in their teens and when the team went up to the stands I was happy that they pushed Keller to be center because YES Virgil was MVP, but Keller held his ground and blocked some intense goal shots.

@@CareOffBook I wonder why they decided to make her that shade of green since it's different in the stage show. It doesn't quite look right here. I don't think it's because Cynthia is black because black actresses have played her on Broadway and the green makeup was the same as everyone else.

@alexl.7668 it could be color grading her in the say time. My reaction when saying Drag Queen is know when you take a pic with them they want the flash on. Seeing them in natural lighting is when you can see how much makeup is and any imperfections. I wonder with Elphaba if her skin looks so flawless it’s throwing me off. Like where’s the glow and sweat or peach fuzz. It’s a lot minor details, but I wonder if that’s why I’m a little taken back.

Jonathon Bailey is playing Fiyero and the trailer had one shot of him. I love Michelle Yeoh so I’m interested to see if they expand that character. I haven’t read the book so I’m comparing to the stage musical as the source. I would’ve loved if they had Glinda as a strawberry blonde like Billie, but the songs reference Glinda as blonde and golden hair. I hope you’re not discouraged to go see it when it comes out.
