@@artisthusnatalal3099 chasing money is the necessity these days in every field. But my point is that today's actors are more of gymnasts than actors. Their only focus is on their bodies but not on acting at all. But actors n actresses of the 90s or even before that were natually beautiful without so much of gymming and their main focus was their acting and not on how their bodies looked on screen. Look at Madhuri, Tabbu, Manisha Koirala, Karishma, Juhi Chawla, Sri Devi, Raveena, Urmilla.... They never had athletic figures, they were more towards feminine body types with natural curves, but now u see Jacqueline, Sarah Ali khan, Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani,...their bodies look masculine and hence audience do not connect with them because the majority of the female population have feminine bodies and not athletic.

Well he himself said this movie extended his run in Bollywood by another 10 years. You may not get the desired roles all the time, but this movie was the one which had him flooded with offers in Commercial cinema. Post Tridev he only had Vishwatma, Sir , Mohra as hits , rest were average grossers. But he atleast found work & extended his career. Thanks to Rajiv Rai.

For someone like Naseeruddin Shah, a legend in Art Cinema to make such a drastic transformation and enact this demand of dance and song sequence of Commercial Bollywood Cinema is a milestone in itself. He also realized that sticking only to Art Cinema will not help him survive in the long run. Liberty Cinema in Delhi, with 5 friends, hard core struggle to get lower stall tickets priced at Rs. 1.25. suddenly news erupt that sunny deol and Sonam are coming for promotion. There were riots like situation. Got the tickets. Sat on very front raw. When the songs start half the crowd were dancing including us. Hundreds of coins were in the air. We danced and all 5 of us were rich by 42 rupees by the time movie ends. Post movie had dinner at Rama Restaurant and kulfi at Gopal's. Priceless memory of 11 to 13 years old boys.

Such a beautiful song from Rajiv Rai & team. He made fantastic movies like Tridev & Vishwatma. His departure from Hindi film industry (due to underworld threats) is a big loss to the Indian film industry.
