This is exactly what my dog does. She is very time-conscious; she knows when the mailman will deliver mail, she knows that when people come home it's time for her to eat dinner, she knows that after dinner she sits in a very specific chair in our living room on the right side of whoever is sitting there, never the left. She gets annoyed when we don't sit in our usual spots. And she knows that when the tv is turned off, she wants everybody to go to bed. If not, she does exactly this. She even tries to lead us to our beds if we don't immediately follow. She had a face she only uses when either A) she really really REALLY wants us to go to bed, or B) she's trying to get our attention.

I love his face. Beautiful dark eyes. I have a similar issue with my dog. Only it's during meal time. He wants me to stay in the room when he's eating. The only time he eats without me in the room is if he is extremely hungry and he doesn't care if I'm there or not.

That's what the dogs do to mom. If we're watching a movie and it hits 9-10 pm, they will stand there, staring at mom like "Ok. I'm ready for bed, mom". 😂

Her beloved pooch is an excellent communicator! And she should follow his voice and argument that it's time for her to go to bed. And he loves her and does not want to go to bed without her. That's called comforting companionship!😇👍🏾🙉🙊🙈

My boxer does the same thing but her reason is that she wants to be covered up.

My Lab was just like that but he eventually gave up and got his revenge by waking me early and then going back to sleep.

My boxer gets sleepy he goes and gets in bed. On my side lol. It's a struggle to move him every night but it's hilarious

There's no other dogs that are more vocal than boxers except maybe Huskies/Malamutes. I love Boxers and I don't mind them whining. And I do make sure that I've satisfied their whims before I let them whine further. My friends and relatives have/had several, and every time I visit/stay, they literally knock me down to lick my face. I just gave up and now just sit on the couch and let them bathe my face with their tongues while hugging/petting them.

So loving. My dog also wants as both follow the bed time. I do that because I am so happy my dog is with me and in my life. Nothing´s more important than appreciating what one has. i have my dog and sure I go to bed too. We are both happy and fall asleep. He may even go to sleep in a different room, but as long as we both go to bed ans to sleep, so all is well.

My sister and her husband have a white English bull dog, Allie, and a King Charles Spaniel/Jack Russel mix, Annie. The dogs tell my sister and her husband, Lenard when it's time to go to bed. The dogs SLEEP with my sister and her husband. When Annie and Allie want to go to bed, "mommy and daddy" have to go to bed, also. Allie can't go out at night by herself. She's afraid of the dark. I don't know; I could be wrong, but I'm going out on a limb and say I believe the two dogs are at least, slightly spoiled. Slightly.

my labrador would do exactly this and if you mentioned the BATH word he would chat back and stamp his paws and fall on the floor like he had been struck by lightening and lay there with one eye open thinking then that i couldnt see him. Tears now, OMG how i miss that dog, all my pet friends who have passed in the 53 years i have had animals took a piece of my heart with them. But the parrot i had to send back to his breeder after i became to disabled to care for myself was my last pet and took what was left of my heart with him. Life not shared with animals is to me no life at all. I would give a lot to be able bodied again. But i would give anything to have my beautiful little friends back with me. If i had any faith or belief that they are whereever waiting for me i would gladly be gone yesterday.

My little guy used to do the same thing - if he was tired and wanted to go to bed, he would demand I do the same. I miss him - more than words can say.

My mini Schnauzer does this every night too😂 around 11pm, he'll follow me around the house, staring and barking at me until I snuggle in bed with him

This is too cute...I have a black/white English Springer Spaniel...she is fine up until bedtime...she sleeps at the end of the bed...when the light goes out, she immediately goes into lala land, just that quick...and if she wakes up, her eyes are so red and bloodshot as if she's been on an all night binge or something. Spoiled rotten is what she is!! Animals are something else and their intelligence should never be underestimated!!
