Whelp. i stand corrected: i was practically yelling at the screen that Jim didnt have enough mana for the pattern with damping sphere in play. But, like so many other subtle nuances/interactions within the massive card pool that is commander, i had to dig a little deeper to see if that was correct. Thankfully, as i am the enchantment player at the LGS where i work/play, i was wrong. Since tapping the land itself is not producing the double mana (like a bounce land or ancient tomb would) and it's the wild growth's effect producing the 2nd mana, it's not "seen" by the sphere as a land tapping for more than 1 mana. So glad this came up and that i was able to discover this interaction! Thanks Spikes!

Can't crack treasures through an abolisher, so Jim was flush. I love grand abolisher + 4 drop recursion in a multi-hulk pile.

I love that someone else figured this out with Minsc! My casual Minsc list is act of treason effects to steal opponents things, hit them with them and then "sacrifice" them to Minsc. It's sooo much fun. :) Edit: I was very sad by the Minsc deck.... He killed our Giant Space Hamster :'(
