Bro you did forget to mention this game still has dlc coming out for it. Its gonna get like 3 or 4 expansions and i think 2 are already out and they are all like the length of a actual game and are all 19.99

SwitchUp it's hilarious how 2 weeks after this review, Diablo 3 is announced for Switch, finally, we get an actual Diablo game on handheld and not only that but it will have 4 player offline co op, I remember back in high school, I would take my high school laptop, borrow it and pop Diablo 2 in and install it and play it but now who needs a laptop other than for work, I loved Diablo 2, hated Diablo 1, I'm excited for Diablo 3 on switch.

Honestly so far its children of mana. Never beat titan quest and diablo 3 puts me to sleep after you get past like level 40 on lower difficulty levels. Literally i used to fall asleep playing the game and as a shaman summoner id literally never die even if i fell asleep and i was playing on the hardest difficulty before you neat the game. Wanna play the divinity and the other one i forget it now but im not paying like 50 bucks for games that are literally 5 or more years old sry nintendo but that way to much when u can find em on xbox one ps4 and pc on sale for like 10 bucks all the time. Literally just wait a week and itll be on sale at most a month. Even the baulders gate games are like 10 bucks on mobile all the time. I really hope they do a remaster of neverwinter nights 2 though was one of my fave dragon age or swkotor type games. With kotor being number one obviously. Also anyone reading this that doesnt know what kotor stands for needs to stop reading and go look it up and olay it right now. If you want deep story woth meaning and life lessons you want kotor. Been out almost as long as ive been alive and i still go on my xbox one and play kotor and kotor 2 at least once a year. Have bought both games like 5 times on multiple diff consoles including my android. Which kotor needs to come to switch damnit being able to play kotor on a dedicated gaming console on the go would be amazing would also love to see the metal gear solid games come to nintendo or some kind of stealth game like that😍😍😍😍😍.

Games like Diablo 2, Tetris, Starcraft and many more are ageless to me. Titan Quest is no evergreen, but close and 40 dollar for a port is ok for me. I could also play this game on a GPD Win 2, but the control remapping alone is worth the price for me haha

I've completed it on PC and really agree with you, for me it's an all time classic. Reviewing with the rose tinted spectacles of nostalgia is so difficult. I'm pretty happy with the score I have this in all areas all things considered. Thanks for the comment, hopefully you may joins us! (Mark)

Did you guys play this game recently again? I got my Switch a few months ago but those performance and crashing issues I heard about still keep me away. It is on sale right now, 12€ in Europe. I played this game for hours on my PC, would love to got into handheld mode with it.

i have to say before this review i would not have even clicked on this game to check it out on the eshop. it looks great. gameplay (combat anyways) kind of reminds me of Jotun but with an RPG element. i will definitely check this out. the co-op aspect is kind of the selling point for me too. the price is a bit high but sales happen all the time. thanks for the review, guys. i love your reviews but my bank account hates them. cheers!

IMO this plays much better than Diablo 3. I've got 500 hours on D3 on PC. That seems a lot but it's spread over six years. But Titan Quest feels like a sunnier version of Diablo 2. I completed it on PC, then when each expansion came out I completed it again and have played it through on all difficulty levels, theory crafting builds for late game for maybe 2000 hours. There are many more viable builds as well as many that are sub viable but fun and those that are just hard core in TQ. Diablo 3 channels the player into too few builds and a tiny subset of loot to support those builds like Blizzard are more afraid of balance criticism than gaming choice. Again despite play time I'm not a massive fan of D3. You spend too long waiting for one specific item to drop to complete one specific build which is the only build that's viable for that class. That sucks.

...Did anybody else notice that at 6:20 in the video, the enemy they're fighting is just gliding along the ground with no animation? Seems like the port could still use some more patching. I'll probably wait for a sale on this one, but it's nice to see some classics getting spruced up and put on a portable for the first time.

There's a little stutter around 7:50' it's cute as heck, I'm glad you left it in. This game is perhaps a bit too high for me price wise. I used to love Diablo types but I do usually go for some sort of magic user and this seems more of a realistic take. Thank you

Hey, how to play it split screen with one pair of joicons? I cant do anything to get it right. After ser it on controllers at main menu of the Switch, the game is changing controls to one Player - two joicons cant be separate.

If anyone is interested, I played the whole thing from start to finish (not the DLC content). For the most part it runs really well, but there are some frame rate drops when there are a ton of particle effects (examples are the village on fire or the underground where soul streams or whatever are all over). The game is also prone to crashing more so than any other switch game. In my 35 hours or so playing the campaign I would say it crashed on me about 7 times. That isn't too bad, but still. One culprit is trying to save your game manually when auto save happens. So I feel a way to avoid this is to stop moving your character, wait a few seconds, then save. All and all, it was a much better value for me because I got it physically from Amazon for about 25 dollars. I thought it was pretty fun, and I actually thought it was over when I beat the first Telkine...that was only a quarter of the way through. Moreover, as I stated, I did not beat the DLC, so there is definitely plenty more to do.

@@JohnnyWalker1077 I actually sold it a long time back after beating it (hilariously it was a pal version and is still sitting in my local gamestop in the used section for more than a year). However, I may buy it again ntsc. I will let you know if they ironed anything else out. If you can snag a copy for real cheap I believe it is worth it still. You just have to be willing to save a bit more offen

I´m thinking about to get it because why not, it is not a big deal for this price and I know too that this game is a masterpiece regarding the ARPG genre but on the other hand I am still not sure because of the crashes.

If never having played titan quest and just looking for a somewhat hack slash fighting game would anyone recommend this for switch kind of been out of gaming for a decade and love my switch just looking for a good fighting adventure game . Loved Ys Vii and bayonetta

Chris Smythe watch the gameplay section it's not a hack and slash. You click on them and it auto attacks. It is a good game and you have tons and tons to do as well as online multiplayer. If you have a the cash, go for it! (Mark)

I play this on the split screen mode with a friend... And holy shit, am i the only one with over 9000 bugs in this game? Every time my weapon isn't still in my inventory. ._. or when i go, sometimes my character is not walking for a moment and then, seconds later, he's running like sonic! Or another example. Somethimes the buildings are not there, but i can't run on this place. Few moments later they spawn on this place and the game is lagging as f***. Is there someone with the same problem?

I'll just wait for Diablo 3. Not gonna waste my itch for an ARPG on the switch for this but it's still awesome on some level that people who haven't played this on PC will now have the option to experience this game. It's a decent middle-market ARPG. It definitely doesn't have the quality of a Blizzard title but it at least has an interesting setting and decent character growth/customization. My biggest gripe with the Switch version from a glance is how little they've done in order to bring it to consoles. You look at the Diablo 3 Console port and that is the effort that should be given to a project like this.

SwitchUp I meant that if one player strays away from another, the screens separate, but when together, it is one screen (a la Lego games, Vanishing Point, etc). I appreciate the response.

Jonas King always separate on this one, you can be in entirely different sections of the level (caves etc) and it never caused issue for the other player. It worked brilliantly. Doesn't join ever though. Hope that helps! (Mark)

Titan Quest is my favorite. I always hear "will hold you over till Diablo" I don't like Diablo. Titan quest story and art are unique. Diablo just doesn't do it for me. Very pumped to have this on the Switch! I built a PC for this when it came out originally based on the recommended specs. Will buy, enjoy, not be nitpicky and buy all the ad ons if they come out with it.

Good news the original expansions are packaged in the game and they plan on releasing like 3 new expansions for the game 2 of witch are already out. But this was like 4 years ago so idk all 3 will release or if they did already. This remaster has been on pc for years already i own it. I just could never buy the new expansions cause they were so expensive when they first came out cause they are all sposed to be as much content as an actual game. Again read all this like years ago so plans may have changed from actual content.

the controls suck. you can't attack unless the game lets you. switching targets is a pain in the ass and usually doesn't work the way you want it to. the mini map is way too mini. needs a lot of work with an update. doubt it will happen though.

I love Titan Quest, but man does it have a broken loot system... and what is an ARPG without a good loot system? I don't know if that's the case for the console versions of the game, but on PC there are numerous legendary and epic items that simply wont drop, no matter how hard you farm to get them. I've wasted more than 50 hours farming legendary Hades in my hopes to collect the Fiery Legion set and not a single piece from it drop, even though Hades is the best place to farm for it. I did thousands of runs, more than the average runs needed to get each of the pieces listed on tq database... and i found numerous items with similar drop chances out of these runs, some of them drop more than once... Alexander's Cuirass drop 3 times! The other thing that bothers me is that the game doesn't allow for legendary and epic items to be socketed with charms and relics, making a lot of legendary and epic gear obsolete compared to some green rares and MI items. Most of the legendary maces and axes for example have slow or average attack speed, which makes them terrible compared to a well rolled MI mace called Folg, which is way easier to find and if you socket it with Incarnation of Achiles, with 35% attack speed as a completion bonus, you end up with a mace that outshines 95% of the legendary and epic weapons for the Warfare mastery... and simply because you can add speed and damage bonus to it with relics, something you're not allowed to do with blue and purple gear - this is just wrong! This game needs to be modded and re-balanced to fix these issues.

Yikes, I had kind of been hoping this game had a better story that I could get into. One of the reasons why I couldn't finish Diablo 3 is because the story was really bland and I had no motivation to keep going. I think I may still pick this one up just because I like the setting so much and it still seems the story is more fleshed out than Diablo 3.

The loot orientated ARPGs aren’t really about a solid story though. Let’s be honest most people power through them to unlock the hell difficulty or it’s equivalent then grind for gear. After that is about min/maxing your build and clearing bosses as quick as you can. Not for everyone but I always find it has that “just one more run” factor that sees me play late into the night.

Atleast we are finally getting real PC games like this and not clones like Sony use to create on PSP aka Untold Legends, which at the time was good but lacked alot of variety and towns. I have wanted Diablo 2 type games on the go for a long time and Untold Legends sucked, so I'm glad this is coming.

Most of these criticisms of the UI have been dispelled by just how well Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2 have all transferred to Switch. They all need to do the same basic functions. Item comparison, pick ups, weapon swapping, targeting. All work well on all these other games. They are garbage on the Switch version of TQ. Which is a real shame. Just assigning a skill to a button takes a degree in mind-reading and not smashing tour controller to pieces.

mark washington I believe (I could be wrong) that they released this on IOS and the price is significantly less. There are a few diablo esque games, none as in depth as this, but much cheaper. I enjoy the game, but it's overpriced, especially in comparison to every other format. If you're saying that's ok because it's the Switch... I'm not sure about that. (Mark)

In my opinion its over priced, doesnt look that great or anything. Too me, it looks like they put as LITTLE effort into as possible, when you look at the graphical upgrades the likes of Spyro and Crash got in their remastered versions. This one seems to be "slap a few little things here and there and call it done" it should NOT be at its current price, £34.99 is simply too much when for £44 i could get the MUCH, MUCH better Divinity Original Sin 2 which looks stunning! plays great, insane character creation, class options, combat, story. The works. I would love to see a game like that come to the Switch, This game though. Pass.

Hollow Knight is a great game, great visuals, great story, great combat and at a great price. Titan Quest however is not. Yes it might be a classic (for some) but the fact very little has been done to improve it or anything and that price is just insulting in my opinion. I know that the Switch wouldnt be able to handle Original Sin 2, the visuals are stunning! but a game like that with solid graphics but more important keeping the same kind of combat (turn based) with all the class and character creation options would be awesome. Go AAA levels of quality and i would happily spend £50 on it, I am also kinda shocked there isnt a Magic The Gathering kinda game on the switch yet either. Seems like a perfect home for it as well.

Notice where i said Crash on the switch? No? Yeah thats because i didnt. Too be fair, you really think the Switch could handle PS4 and XBOne levels of visuals and performance? No. No it cant. Those that think otherwise have some VERY bias opinions. Dont get me wrong the Switch has some VERY beautiful games but the XBOne and PS4 just does visual performance MUCH better. Switch does cartoon like visuals (Zelda, Splatoon, Mario) very well. Thats where it really ends. It couldnt handle a game like say latest versions of GTA or Call of Duty, Battlefield and such. Maybe HEAVILY reduced versions. Sure. At their XBOne and PS4 levels and performance? No chance. Personally, i dont care about undocked performance. As long as it looks good docked, im fine. Though arent most/all games undocked at 480p? Too be fair, to think that Crash could be done on the Switch, undocked at the levels that PS4 and XBOne could do them, dreaming. If only. I was also saying their upgrades from PS1 levels of visuals to their remastered, which is more of a remake imo. Insanely better. Then you look at this. Barely a Remaster at all.

DO NOT BUY the NINTENDO SWITCH port... It has bugs and glitches that completely ruin the game. I finally got a refund after every single item in my inventory vanished.... If you can, just the buy the PC version for $5..
