Agreed. I played spell caster recently and was shocked at how much Ternion attack depleats energy. I quickly got rid of it as I didn't find the dps worth the pay.

May I ask how you built the Magician skill-wise? It is one of the only combos that I have not tried yet. Which mastery did you start with?

Defense +R will give you better defenses so for a first time player it could be better, it would make the game easier, Warfare +R is probably dealing a crazy amount of damage so if you want to obliterate everything on the screen this is probably the best choice.

Hi, you should add Strength and Dexterity, you will find plenty of health from items.

Ok, but how mmuch to STR and DEX?

Try to reach about 500 Dex (dex points from items included) and the rest put on Strength!

You might be right, i decided though to use masteries that exist in AE too for players who haven't bought Ragnarok yet.

I found the combination of nature and spirit the most enjoyable with wolves from lvl 2 and the nymph and liche king to support them and the outsider when things get hairy and helping my pets with the nature healing abilities.

@@farkasabel I played sootsayer, but it became pain to play around act 4 on both normal and epic. Wolves are great. I love wolves. I got 3 wolves, nymph, lich and outsider but needed to run away from every enemy at epic which was annoying with fast enemies. My resistances were negative on epic and during farming runs I was getting great items for warrior like character. So, now with champion I am getting great items for mage :-( Champion is great hybrid to play with wolves running around on the battlefield with help of battle standard and ancestral horn. But I agree sootsayer is funny to play in general. So now I will be farming items for my sootsayer with my champion.

Yes you can if you want, the skills of Defense that work on allies too are the Battle Awareness line and the Rally line of skills.

Storm and defence can be alright for a hybrid pally build.

If you play with staff, Ternion Attack from Spirit is very powerful and the aura skills are very good for survivability and more damage.

How did it turn out cause I'm just about to push lvl 8 and wondering which skill to pick along Hunter.

The Oracle of Zeus is sort of outdated, better go with the 3 Starter's.

You can not reset masteries unless if you don't put any points at all in your masteries' level! After you put one point and close the mastery's UI window then you can not reset it!

At level 8 you can select a 2nd mastery.

Yeah you can make a Trapper with elemetnal damage + fire aura on each bolt. :) The better way to screw up is to combine a mastery with an unfitting style, like going melee as Elementalist. Or mixing strength and int. Don't do that if you want to play past Normal.

That would be Hunting+defense if you use a bow and and upgrade shield perks

Yes, Rune mastery is good for many builds, its a very powerful mastery!

Brigand and haruspex are very good for bow ive heard. Im a ranger. Im only level 15 but it feels underwhelming. My storm nature build is better.

If you are new to this game i'd suggest you invest only in Strength/Dexterity and use weapons providing types of damage according to the playstyle you want to go with, unless you want to play with a Staff, in that case you go with Intelligence/Dexterity.

@Bazooka Joe if you get a chance check out last epoch, you can get the pre alpha demo for free and alpha access for 50 bucks, early access is usually a bad thing but this is one I can stand behind. You can talk to the devs daily on their discord and they're really awesome people and quite funny and show a real love for their game.

@Bazooka Joe Lol yeah, i ended up making a beastmaster and am using a thorn totem build where i spam these totems that spam out heat seeking thorns lol its pretty op early on, excited for how many different builds and metas there are without being forced into a specific play style
