Titan Quest: Ragnarok (2017) is an action RPG and a welcome expansion to a game created in 2006. Titan Quest is best compared to Grim Dawn, a more recent title, in its mechanics and overall form - the emphasis is on solo progression rather than online trading of items.
Pick up the Ragnarok expansion if you enjoy character building as I believe this release excels at itemization, but first try the Anniversary Edition or play Grim Dawn to see if this style of aRPG is your jam.

Also a great tip for any act and build really: you should always wear at least 1 piece of the Accursed rare jewelry that starts to spawn in the later half of act 1. It has a percentual increase to vitality damage but the real reason you need one is that it also offers a percentual energy drain that unlike flat energy leech works on all enemies including bosses and having to fight a boss that can't spawn adds and use any abilities beyond their auto-attack is much easier than fighting one that can.

Quick correction on this video - you can, in fact, return to a resurrection fountain that you have been to before by simply clicking on it. This way, you can repeat past fountain farms without worry!

Farmed my first ever Stonebinder Cuffs. Took a very long time. When it finally dropped, it added an additional 12% cold resistance. Not OP, but will come in useful in Act III. I also learned about AutoHotkey from your guides, among several other game tips, like the one above. My interest has been renewed in this fine game. Thanks!

Found this video in 2020, and decided to follow along, and i must say that this was the easiest act 1 ever, not a single enemy posed a threat, Great Job and tnx for the 1 hour long video

Well, acts 1 and 2 are generally easy unless you fumble the bag extremely hard. The real challenge comes in act 3 with many enemies having shotgun attacks and generally attacks that ignore armor be it elemental or pierce.

if you have concussive blow and plan to use it then axes are the fastest weapon you can use, also runesmith has good shield recovery since both rune and defense have a skill that reduces recovery time

40:15 to be fair, until Act 5 you should have collected more than enough Lupine claws to fulfill that quest. I already had three when I found the guy, so the quest immediately completed.

corrections: monsters tied to quest have aura even after finished quest, damage absorbtion is last in dmg order. alastors aura is not a death chill aura - it deals vitality decay+frostburn - dots

Thank you for the corrections! I have retested these and you are correct with all of them, though I have noticed the Monster Quest Tag thing since this video was shot. I will put a note in the damage order guide for the flat absorb at the bottom - it makes Energy Shield perform better in shield builds. Alastor's Aura still slows at least attack speed. It seemed to be tied to the aura at least. My attack speed dropped twice with no special staff.

the problem with the slow in alastors fight is that you are slowed from aura and on top of it getting slowed more from his melee minions. - alastor becomes very easy boss once you understand him. :)

While people are here: Basically all Ghosts are also Undead and have only ghost resists, not both stacked. But those are just a stronger form of the first, so it still holds true.

And as for the green items, the rare affix is what turns them green. It's not the item that determines the rarity but vice versa.

The Labyrinth's map in IT version was just as clear as any other map in the game, but then the re-release does things that make it harder to read/easier to get lost in the literal maze area? There's no way that's accidental. Paseron (Act 4, the surface town right next to the passage to Hades) didn't have fog in IT either.

Use a picture on google images. I was able to find one that someone drew with a mspaint markup tool that made it easier.

Just think of the maze as a series of blocks. Each block has an exit with two flames. And each block has little interaction with another block. Since they are always the same, eventually you learn the path.

Its a big mistake not to take a Lightning Strike in Runes at least on 1 point. And also its passive. It will make your clear speed much better in cases where you meet a big crowd of mobs.

2:54 That Regen shrine I think is always a Regen shrine, the top one I think is either always a Healing shrine or is random.

They are both randomized between healing and regen; they can be one and the other or both one or the other, in either order top/bottom or bottom top.

Yourself and MrFae make great vids. You're right; the forum and Discord community are too rigid and orthodox in how they view the game "should be played." That ruins the fun in my personal opinion.

Man it took me over an hour of farming to get those stonebinders cuffs, I leveled up to lvl 19 from 15 just from that farming and I hate my life

Oculus Rift : Lol. It took me 2 days. I was doing the Gorgons and their little sisters... Gave up and got them in the labyrinth anyway!

If you don't mind a using mods, I'd highly highly recommend using xmax+loot+, three times the mobs to add a significant challenge to the game but makes farming muuuch less time consuming and thus far less soul destroying. Works especially well for ultra rare items like SBC. Some may say it's "not vanilla" but if you use it purely for farming one item to not hate the game I'd definitely argue it's worth

@@WhiteMoonLights I'd say it's on par with D2. Can't go wrong with either. From what I understand the original TQ dev team were refugees from D2. Hence certain similarities.

38:40 Shadowmane almost had me turning the PC off and rage quitting. Obnoxiously tough for this level -and I was 13 while you were only 10. Went through twice on my Sage (Hunter/Storm) and had him down to a sliver of health before running out of health potions both times. Went back after buying 100 potions and decided I needed a break from him, or gain a level or two. Just maddening.

I view ShadowMaw as a later game farm. You need demons blood for Alastair under Athens and Typhon end of act 3. Act 5 for lupine claws is far away. But they game lets you collect the resource you need before you need it, if you want. Like the Necromancer robe underground before Athens. So Alastair doesn’t ruin your day...

He's not using 3rd party software. You can go in the options and select the game speed.

Pretty sure without a 3rd part tool to speed up the game, boots that speed you up and items that give total speed are a lot better then recovery. Especially since you can now Auto pot, I don’t really see the point of stacking recovery? Pots are so cheap, you can literally run around with 100 at every time in the game without spending more than 3-5% of your gold if you stack up every third or so vendor

Some enemies will still kill you even with pots if you don't also have recovery, Shadowmaw is a good example, I was a good bit overleved defender with lots of health regen at that point but he still almost killed me once I forgot to disengage every 3-5 seconds.

Scrolls are there to get you past the tough parts. Any build will have trouble somewhere in the game.

So a week ago the Switch version FINALLY gets Ragnarok lol. But the problem because I beat epic, normal and legendary I was pretty OP when I beat it on normal lol.
