This is the making of video for Titanic 2: The Return of Jack. I created this video in 2025 and it's had an amazing response with almost 21 million views. It's the feel good sequel to the 1997 classic. The "happy ending" we all wanted for Jack and Rose.
To create this trailer I edited together a huge number of scenes from different films starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack Dawson) and Kate Winslet (Rose DeWitt Bukater). The story of this trailer is that Rose tries to move on with her life. She's comforted by Molly Brown (Kathy Bates), and tries to get over the horrific events of Titanic.
But one day, everything changes. A body is washed up on the beach in ibiza. Could it be?? Jack?
This is a making of video. It helps explain the creative process and shows all the work that goes into creating a fictional movie trailer. In this video I highlight a lot of the effects work (removing backgrounds, splicing scenes etc). I also explain the editing process and show you guys how it's done using Adobe After Effects.
Fan trailers are often misunderstood. These types of "Making Of" videos help to show the enormous amount of work that goes into creating a totally original narrative from pre-existing footage.
