Oh my gosh!!! The first time I was shot in the game, I think I was 10 and I was STUNNED. My poor mother saw the whole thing happen and was like “oh honey I’m so sorry! We bought it from toys r’ us!!! What is this!!!” It was weeks before I’d try to play it again 😅

I was obsessed with the titanic when i was a kid. Played this when i was maybe 8/9. I played it every day. This brings me back

Haha same, I loved titanic when I was young and was obsessed with everything about it. Somebody in my family got this for me thinking it was going to be more historical than what it actually was. I was around the same age and had a rough time actually figuring out gameplay, but really enjoyed the renditions of the ship and getting to “explore” its interiors. Smevels scared the fuck out of me lol.

Omg RIGHT! One time I got shot in the boiling room for taking the Rubaiyat and my heart was throbbing so hard. I was truly shaken 😂

My siblings and I used to play this when we were young. We were intrigued yet frightened at the same time. The background music still gives me the creeps!

I never really understood the objectives very well as a kid; it was a couple years before I actually beat it and I think I had to look up a walkthrough. But I was obsessed with Titanic and so I enjoyed just moving around the ship and exploring.

I used to play this as a kid! Got it for Xmas in 99, I think? This game is like a book that I tried to write over & over again, screwing up the ending each time. Watching the walk-through is like finally seeing the ending I'd always hoped for. Thank you for posting this!

Wow this instantly takes me back to ‘97, when I was 8 & just learned about the Titanic in 3rd grade while becoming obsessed with the movie that just came out 😂 the people & the music was creepy, but overall it was still a great game for its time. Did anyone else notice that as you kept going down further into the ship, the music got creepier 😮

My mom used to put this game on for me when she went to work when I was 3 years old. I always missed her so this game really helped while she was away. Watching it brings back so many memories.

It's interesting how so many people including myself see this game as haunting or scary- I wonder if it was the developers intention or just mix of the music, drab style, uncanny Valley effect of the characters, and suspense.

@@GAMESPUBYT Has anyone ever tried to 'cheat' their way out of the tutorial without getting the watch,map and bag? I'm curious how much of the game would be broken if they did as currently you cannot leave the room till you obtain these items.

I think I played this game too young and didn’t pick up on the linear storyline/objectives and just got distracted by the eerie music and animations. Seems like a good game overall tho!

This game was outstanding the atmosphere and music make it such a creepy game It wasn't meant to be creepy but the isolation with just a few characters scattered throughout the ship again add in the atmosphere and music it leaves the game with a creepy feel It was rather creepy to play as a kid especially at night in the dark

I remember finding the Rubaiyat in the engine room as a kid, then immediately getting shot by Vlad. Couldn't for the life of me work out what to do next. Nearly 30 years later, I have my answer.

Played this in 90s and was obsessed w all Titanic things. Ive seen youtubes use the graphics from this game to illustrate the grandiere of the decks and rooms of Titanic.

I remember playing this game as a kid. I was so young, barely knew anything about the Titanic at the time. And I'm french so the dialogs were hard to understand for me. I was always getting killed at the end. This is the first time I see the 'winning' ending haha

Lo jugué en la adolescencia y con los diccionarios de inglés de mi madre que era profesora de ese idioma pude resolver el juego, pero me daba mucho miedo jugarlo en la oscuridad de la habitación y de noche, pude terminarlo y me encanto, más que en esa época eran gráficos increíbles 😅

Much appreciated I feel as a first time viewer of this video even the most modern apps can provide a lot of food for conversation when it comes to the Titanic it'd be nice to see something like that but it's with a heavy heart that I say this because it's historical perhaps the utmost of care should be taken into consideration when thinking of this but it's great I love it though

No sorry it wasn't. 😅 You only had to type in the message on the transmitter. Actually for the game mechanics it is enough to just type "arrange for" to trigger the further story.

@@kylehill3643 Late reply here, but when you need to send out the message you can just type it on your keyboard and it will 'tap' the correct morse code automatically. Additionally, you only need to get as far as "Arrange for" before the game triggers the next part of the story. i.e. you don't need to type out the full message if you don't want.

Yes it should work on Windows 10. I played the GOG.com version of the game and it worked fine on Windows 10.

I just got done playing it on Win11 via Steam. The characters would finish all of their sentences a word or two early, but other than that there were no issues

@@jordanriver722he game does that on Steam. It cuts off the last word or two of people’s sentences due to the software being so old. There’s a fix for it in the game’s Discussions page
