Traces Belfast's emergence as a shipbuilding powerhouse and the construction of the Titanic.
The Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New Your City. There were 1,514 people that drowned in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. "The Unsinkable Titanic" sunk and today the story lives on in fans of those who love this great ship and it's history.
I have Titanic, Olympic, Queen Mary, Ocean Liner, and other interesting Historical documentaries. It is a passion of mine to share the amazing Titanic story for the generations to come. Thank you watching my films and please Subscribe, Like, and Comment. Blessings, Mark.

▫️This documentary is in my top five “must see” productions about the Titanic. There’s not a single word waisted and the pace of the narrative holds one’s attention. For one, the taste testing segment of the first class dinner menu served during the Titanic’s last evening was wonderful. It provided very clear accounts past down through family histories about the men who built the ship-the commitment during the ship’s construction, Belfast’s pride when the Titanic set sail-and how the city fell silent for decades afterwards; talking about the sinking was considered a taboo subject. This program was spot on and is a must watch effort.

▫️A FANTASTIC SURPRISE: This is literally, and absolutely, one of the best Titanic documentaries produced and posted on KZfaq. It’s not a rehash of the all too familiar Titanic narrative productions. Each minute in this one offers insights from the Belfast perspective that’s unique-it’s the backstory to the backstory regarding the construction of the ship. The only downside-I wish it had been an hour longer.

This is wonderful. I'm glad I came across it. I'd heard some reference the people of Belfast felt a sense of shame after Titanic sank in some interview or documentary. It touched me that was the case, imagining how proud everyone must've felt. It's great to get the full story here and see Belfast now standing tall and celebrating her amazing accomplishments. Thank you for documenting this history so well. With renewed interest in Titanic that seems to be occurring due to the recent tragedy of the submersible, I hope more people find this video.

You could make a film every year for the rest of time about Titanic and it would fill cinemas despite the fact you know the outcome before hand. Now that's bizarre. I wonder what human condition you'd call that. Thanks as usual.

Back in 1898, Morgan Robertson published a book called "Futility", which was later changed to "The Wreck of the Titan". It's about a huge ship that sinks on her maiden voyage, and which shares a lot of similarities with the Titanic.

Build a brand new replica of Titanic at Harland & Wolff in the original slipway and leave the ship on dry land slip way. Build the replica with rivet hull rent out her state rooms and eating saloons and have tour guides, people all over will come to see this ship much money can be made. Lot of artifacts can be retrieved put in the new Titanic replica. All they need is time, planning & money!

Think about it: the Titanic could never be built again because the men who built her in Belfast are long gone and with them, all the experience, tradition, determination and guts required to build such colossal ships like the Olympic class steamers that Titanic were a part of. Today, in the 21st century, while there are men around who can still design and build a ship, none of them can build anything like the Titanic.

How would you behave during the sinking? I think I would try to make a run for the boats. Screw dying, I know it was the gentleman to do, but I'd rather live a long life as a "coward" than die young and brave.
