Thanks for making the comparison with the scratch resistant coated Hamtun, that's very informative about the benefits of such a coating on a titanium watch, for those of us who don't yet have one.

Solid review as always. I had to chuckle at the posed shots in the middle - the brick wall dangle had a particularly abandoned "I've misplaced my Omega" feel that reminded me why I continue to buy homages, lol.

Excellent review. 👍👍👍 We actually manufacture process control pumps including titanium ones for specific chemicals, and they are very easily scratched on the outside. They get so many it looks like the natural look. Even the scratch resistant coat eventually wears down after a couple of years. Honestly, stainless steel is the best material for watches. In 5 years every titanium watch case, coated or not at the outset will look pretty bad after normal use.

Great review. I'm still absolutely in love with my blue Sea Ghost. I too have a few scratches, but gently took a scotch brite scouring pad and it removed all the scratches. 👍

Cool review. I have the Omega NTTD original but I think I should also buy that blue Heimdallr as it looks really nice. I wonder if the Omega titanium was coated against scratches 🤔

So many of these homages are great to pick up and try to see how it fits, feels, etc., if you connect with the watch before investing 10+ times more on the real thing. I have done that quite a few times and its saved me a ton of money, and honestly some of these homages really are fantastic in their own right. Some so good that I've worn them regularly in place of their much more expensive relatives. This one looks very good, just wish they had treated the Titanium but then that would have added to the cost.

I completely agree. You're right, that is the only thing I'd really change on this. Just add some coating to the titanium. I didn't realise just how much of a difference it made, until I got one without it. But then, for the price of the watch you can't really complain.

That's a nicely made homage, really like the mesh strap. Well that's the thing about titanium watches, without antiscratch coating the look like a mess pretty quickly. Nice review mate! 👍

That was what I thought too. But a couple of people have said they do it.

It has high strength but will scratch easily as it is a softer metal than 316L hence it is easier to polish.

I've got some titanium bicycles, both over 10 years old and used on and off road extensively, you can just polish them with a £5 scotchbrite pad to renew the look in a few minutes, and they look like new again. Can't see why a bit of polishing would not work on that watch. Plenty of youtube on polishing titanium.

Yes that is very true, titanium is actually easier to clean or re-brush as you might say than stainless

Thanks for the video. I have it in white on the mesh bracelet. There is an AE store selling just the bracelet with the signed buckle. It's selling at 20 pounds 27USD. Think I will get it for another Heimdallr I have.

I have the black version. Only thing I don’t like is the lum is a bit dull for my likening and doesn’t last long. But I also normally wear it under a jacket so that may be on me

Very nice watch mate! But yep, uncoated titanium scratches like hell, I learned that the painful way with my brand new Pelagos a few years back 😭

Any titanium watch is on my radar. As for this one, like it, but it's just tad too blue... or i am... at the moment i guess...lol Thanks for the review mate, i'll consider this one... in time! PS Just got the Escapment Time (King Seiko homage), on it's way. Do you still have that? Pleased so far, or...?

If it's too blue for you, you could always go for one of the other colours instead. Yeah I've still got the Escapement Time. Still enjoying it, especially now it's on a different strap.
