Powerful, thank you for sharing! ... This brings alot of balance on this concept of tithing! Many are confused because to the extreme teachings on grace.

My suggestion is that the giving here is freewill offering n not tithing. Therefore Christians should be encouraged to practice giving offerings freely.

Find tithing one time in the New Testament. In Mathew 23:23 Jesus called tithing the LAW. He went to the cross to free us from the LAW. Practicing the "tithe" which no Christian has ever kept no not one is a SIN. JESUS CHRIST said it is finished!

Abraham in Gen 14:20 gave a tenth of the spoils one time. It didn't say everytime he fought in battle.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

I don’t get what this teaching is about. I’m lost!

The tithe robbers are still stuck in the Law. The Law and Prophets were until John (The Baptist) - Luke @ The Law didn't end with Jesus Christ death. For the Law was given by Moses, The Law ended with John and Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. - John @ Jesus Christ ministry didn't start until John was in Prison. Now when John was in Prison, Then Jesus Christ came preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, Mark @ Therefore, Every thing that Jesus Christ told you including "YE PAY TITHE...THESE THINGS YE OUGHT TO..." Is the Gospel in Grace and Truth. You gotta come out of the Law. God got rid of the ordinances and nailed them to the cross. But he didn't get rid of the tithe. How do we know? Because the Alpha and Omega, The First and the Last, the beginning and the ending says, "YE PAY TITHE...THESE THINGS YE OUGHT TO..."
