This video presents the bells H♭0 -d♭1 -e♭1 -f1 -a♭1 -h♭1 - d♭2 [Si♭2 -re♭3 -mi♭3 -fa3 -la♭3 -si♭3 -do♭4] of St. Jakobus Minster in Titisee - Neustadt.
➥ The Grüninger foundry in Villingen cast a new, monumental peal for the newly built St. James Minster. However, this was completely destroyed during the Second World War, except for a small bell.
For the replacement it was decided to use the bell foundry Junker in Brilon, because the foundry Grüninger, now in Neu - Ulm, did not have the necessary capacity to realise such a big peal.
So the foundry in Brilon cast one of its largest post-war peals, as one of the few large peals of this foundry even in the heavy bell shape.
To this day, the seven instruments still ring out from a largely original belfry. The usually rather overtone-heavy Junker bells show an astonishing depth and gravitas. The almost typical slightly distorted striking tone line is not noticeable after a short familiarization phase. This is especially true when the large St. James bell [1] closes the ringing on the high church holidays with its powerful downward sound.
