Do they make a larger guard for this model? Many have the same complaint that it's small and throws, including me. Great video

Can you find out why they don’t want you to use it as a trimmer as well or edger i’m curious about that what would It do... what happens

Despite the warning, I use this tool as an edger at my own risk. Using the tool as an edger doesn’t impact the tool. Just be sure to blow out the vents afterward to remove any dirt or debris. My guess is DeWalt includes the disclaimer because flipping over any string trimmer can result in user injury. When a string trimmer is flipped, the guard no longer protects the user. I always wear safety glasses (goggles are even better) when flipping trimmers because I’ve been smacked in the face with flying objects. I’ve even gotten a fat lip when a rock has been kicked up.

Can’t argue with that. I have never regretted purchasing the Husqvarna 128LD with 17” cutting swath. It’s versatile and I also use it with the edger, pole saw, and hedge trimmer.

Ha! Unless you have evidence to the contrary. I think that was moisture content from the suculent strands releasing as mist?
