For someone who is winning a lot, and handshakes many people, his social skills and interest during conversations most of the time are barely better than that of a toddler. Occasionally he is a bit better. Maybe Magnus could get some lessons from Fabiano in that department, to elevate his "social chess" moves up some 1000 ELOs? He needs it desperately.

@@slowfreq It was a very fair estimation, which was painfully visible throughout this event; Magnus swooshing away from the reporter in the last question, was icing on cake of utter childishness showcased in previous days -- not only disrespectful towards the reporter, but also towards the audience, and sponsors, who are , what?, supposed to pay and then clap to that childishness as well? If Magnus is bored by chess and honest questions aimed towards the audience, if he'd rather be someplace else, then let him stop pretending and quit chess for good, rather than coming again and again to rake in some money? And maybe you could attend a few courses in bonton too, together with Magnus, to learn how not to jump into childish moods?

I find Magnus' behaviour insufferable. His social skills ELO is at all times low. If Magnus is bored by chess and honest questions aimed towards the audience, if he'd rather be someplace else and be spared all those questions and attention, then let him stop pretending and quit chess for good, rather than coming again and again to rake in some money while he feels he still can.

@@jj921 It seems like you suffer from blind hero worship, and therefore can't notice that his peers and reporters are merely tolerating his insults and his social idiocy. Magnus is a unique prodigy, something that occurs once in 200 years. But he is also a social moron, treats his peers and audience as stupid pets, who explodes in tantrums and swearing when 'mere pets outwit his genius by some stupid chance'. Unfortunately, those two - being an extreme prodigy and a social moron -often come in the same package. It would be for his own good he quits chess and starts working in community kitchen for the poor and people who require constant help to do even basic things.

The reporter was asking dumb questions, he has a long history of just cutting off interviews that involve poor questions. Nothing wrong with that. No one's forcing him to play, if he loses he has a right to be annoyed. Also rake in some money while he still can? 😆 He crushed a very strong tournament here and he will do it again soon No signs of stopping

But Magnus was and still is a social moron, who is insensitive to what ordinary people may find interesting. He is most definitely bored with chess, he thinks chess goals are the nicks at the belt of his revolver, so let him move his arrogant and preposterous arse into something else, and leave the field to people who have more appreciation for the chess, and who are more enthused than him.
